Description
The invention is based on a cassette according to the Oberbe handle of claim 1. Such a cassette is known by DE-PS 29 43 409. A semiconductor memory known therefrom on the cassette is used to store typical cassette Data such as B. tape length, type of magnetic layer, signal pre distortion, copy protection, and recorded tracks that are the recording or playback read from the recorder and for Display or control of recorder functions evaluated become. In practice there is a desire, optionally also mentioned cheap cassettes without such a store Offer. In such cartridges without memory then previously used measures for so-called basic data such as Tape length, tape type and the like are provided on the cassette hen. For VHS cassettes, this is on the cassette housing So-called coding holes provided by switches in the Recorder can be queried.
More cassettes with an electronic memory, in particular Semiconductor memories are known from US 4,338,644 and WO 91/02355.
The invention has for its object in a cassette an important basic data storage without semiconductor memory to enable ten without the coding solutions previously used on the cassette housing. This task will solved by the invention specified in claim 1. Advantage adhesive developments of the invention are in the dependent claims Chen specified. A recorder for a cassette in this regard is also specified in claim 7.
In the invention, the per se becomes a semiconductor memory Contact set belonging to a cassette without half leave the conductor memory, although it then actually overflows sig appears. The individual contacts are meanwhile partial separation into two or more sub-contacts exploited, a printed, on the contact carrier to form the recorder electrically readable code. This Code consisting of 4 bits, for example, is sufficient for storing the basic data mentioned. The so far used coding holes on the cassette housing together with Switches on the recorder are then no longer required. The contacts provided per se for a semiconductor memory fulfill a double function. You can with built-in or retrofitted semiconductor memory to scream Read and read the memory and if there is no memory used to display the basic data on the cassette.
Another advantage is as follows: According to an elder Ren proposal is for a cassette with semiconductor memory a holder for a second memory on the cassette housing provided to increase the storage volume. The recording me contains a second contact record that begins with the first con clock set of the basic memory is connected in parallel. If the contacts of the first con clock set separated in the manner according to the invention the, so the function of the second contact set not disturbed because the contacts of the first contact set not connected, but only open separates and thus also the contacts of the second contact set not be short-circuited.
A recorder for a cassette designed according to the invention preferably has two for each contact of the contact set Contact springs, i.e. twice as many contact springs in total like contacts on the cassette, as well as an evaluation circuit according to the characteristics of claim 7. Two contact springs each The pair of contact springs are then able to determine whether the scanned contact is continuous or broken. This can, for. B. from a disconnected set of contacts binary value 0 and from a non-split contact set, in which the two contacts of the contact spring pair elek are short-circuited, determine the binary value 1. With four contacts, each of which is continuous or separated 4 bits and 16 different information be saved, what for the described basic data is sufficient.
Darin zeigen:The invention is described below with reference to the drawing different embodiments explained. In it show:

In Fig. 1, a circuit board L is arranged on the cassette housing G, which carries four separate contacts 1-4 . The contacts are connected to an invisible semiconductor memory on the housing G and are contacted in the recorder by a corresponding contact set for writing and reading data. The housing G also contains a receptacle 9 , in which a second memory can optionally be inserted, the contacts of which are then connected in parallel with the contacts 1-4 of the first memory. For this purpose, the underside of the printed circuit board L is provided with conductor tracks which end in a second contact set on the upper inner wall of the receptacle 9 and serve to contact the second memory.
Fig. 2a shows the circuit board L with the first contact set 1-4 and the second contact set 5-8 connected in parallel. The circuit board L is folded around the constriction 10 and according to FIG. 1 is placed on the wall of the housing G.
FIG. 2b shows a side view of the circuit board of Fig. 2a with the contacts on the opposite te Be arranged semiconductor memory 11, the material is protected by a synthetic cladding. 2
Fig. 2c zeigt eine Rückansicht der Leiterplatte L. Fig. 2c shows a rear view of the circuit board L.
FIG. 2d shows in section the conductor 1 folded according to FIG. 1 and placed on the housing G.
It is now assumed that the cassette G contains the printed circuit board L with the contacts, but no semiconductor memory. Contacts 1-4 and 5-8 would then no longer function initially.
Fig. 3a shows again the contact set with the contacts 1-4 , each contact in two hexagonal, but continuously connected partial contacts 1 a, 1 b or 2 a, 2 b or 3 a, 3 b and 4 a , 4 b is divided. The re recorder contains two contact springs 13 , 14 for each contact, which are connected to an evaluation circuit 15 . The contact springs 13 , 14 are used in a cassette with semiconductor memory for writing and reading, the semiconductor memory connected to the contacts 1-4 . In total, eight contact springs are provided for the contact set according to FIG. 3a. The two contact springs for a continuous con tact 1-4 then serve to increase the contact reliability.
FIG. 3b shows the case in which no semiconductor memory is connected to the contact set according to FIG. 3a. The contact 1 is now divided into two separate sub-contacts 1 a and 1 b and also the contact 3 in separate sub-contacts 3 a and 3 b, while the contacts 2 and 4 are not separated. By scanning the contacts 1-4 with two contact springs 13 , 14 , the binary values 0 and 1, that is a total of 4 bits, can be read. The contact springs 13 , 14 register by scanning the separate subcontacts 1 a and 1 b, the binary value 0, as well as the contact springs for contact 3 . The corresponding con tact springs for the contacts 2 and 4 represent that the scanned portion contacts 2 a and b, 2, and 4 a and 4 b of the miteinan are connected, thereby providing the binary value. 1
Fig. 4a zeigt eine andere Ausbildung der Kontakte 1-4. Fig. 4a shows a different design of the contacts 1-4. The contacts are formed as an elongated, rectangular, side by side lying surfaces. Fig. 4b again shows the case for a cassette without memory. The contacts 1 and 3 are separated as in Fig. 3. Contacts 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 then form the code word 0101 that can be scanned in the recorder.
Fig. 5 shows a special design of a contact 1 with its partial contacts 1 a and 1 b. At the connection point, a perforated contact bridge 16 is provided, which initially connects the two partial contacts 1 a and 1 b to one another and, according to FIGS. 3, 4, represents the binary value 1 when scanning. To associate the contact set the binary value 0, the contact bridge 16 by hand or with a tool is removed ent. Then, the two sub-contacts 1 a and 1 b voneinan the separated and generate during the scanning in accordance with Fig. 3 the binary value 0. contacts Such a design of Kon the user of the cassette itself by selectively removing the contact bridges 16, desired data may be on the Store the cassette on the cassette housing.
