Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a CT (computed tomography) device a gantry containing a measuring system, which is a little bit Most nearly horizontal axis tiltable in one Support part is attached.
A CT device of the type mentioned is in the EP 0 495 137 A1. The gantry is on the bo tilt the stands attached to the examination room as far as possible bar attached that examinations of standing patients possible are. This is especially true for lung recordings advantageous.
The problem with the known CT device is that in the case of a sufficiently rigid design of the supports Gantry is difficult to access for a patient.
The invention has for its object a CT device type mentioned so that the prerequisites conditions are given that even with stiff execution of the Carrying part the gantry for a patient to be examined is easily accessible.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by a CT device with a gantry which accommodates a measuring system and which ne tiltable at least approximately horizontal axis is attached to a support member, which for attachment to egg ner different from the floor of the examination room boundary surface of the examination room, namely the ceiling of the examination room or one of the walls of the exam chungsraum, is provided.
This way the gantry is even when the supporting part is very stiff and correspondingly voluminous for egg easily accessible to patients.
According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention The height of the gantry is adjustable so that it is different high lying layers of a patient are shown or so-called named spiral recordings can be made.
Es zeigen:Embodiments of the invention are in the accompanying Drawings shown schematically. Show it:
Fig. 1 ein CT-Gerät mit an der Decke des Untersuchungs raums angebrachtem Tragteil, Fig. 1, a CT scanner with the ceiling of the examination space attached support member,
Fig. 2 is a CT device with one of the walls of the investigation room attached supporting part.
The CT device according to the invention according to FIG. 1 has a gantry which is provided with a measuring opening 1 and is denoted overall by 2 and which contains a measuring system.
The measuring system has an X-ray emitter 3 , which is moved around the measurement opening 1 while an investigation is being carried out. The measuring system further comprises a detector 4 which absorbs the radiation emanating from the X-ray radiation 3 after it tersuchungsobjekt a Un located in the measuring aperture 1, for example, a patient 5, durchdrun has gen. The detector 4 can be a detector row that rotates together with the x-ray emitter (third-generation CT device) or a fixed detector ring (fourth-generation CT device)
The output signals of the detector device 4 are in a manner not shown in FIG. 1 fed to a computer which calculates an image of the examined layer of the patient and displays it on a monitor.
The gantry 2 is pivotally mounted about a horizontal axis A on a ceiling stand designated as 6 as a supporting part, which in turn is attached to the ceiling 7 of the examination room.
Der Abstand d beträgt demnach ca. ??? m.In order to enable a height adjustment of the gantry 2 , the ceiling stand 6 has a telescopic section 8 , which enables it to raise the gantry 2 to such an extent that its lower edge in its uppermost position shown in broken lines in FIG. 1 has a distance d from the floor 9 of the examination room, which is dimensioned such that the majority of patients can step under gantry 2 in their uppermost position without having to bend down. The distance d is therefore approx. ??? m.
It is therefore clear that in the case of the CT device according to the invention it is easily possible for a patient 5 to get into the measuring opening by first taking a position below the measuring opening 1 of the gantry 2 which is in its highest position, whereupon the Gantry 2 is lowered as far as is necessary to make the planned admission.
As a result of the height adjustability of the gantry 2 , it is also possible to produce so-called spiral recordings, in which the measuring system rotates around the patient 5 and at the same time the gantry 2 is displaced in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the patient.
The exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2 differs from the one described above in that the gantry 2 is fastened pivotably about the axis A to a wall stand designated as 10 as a supporting part, which has a rail part 11 attached to the wall 12 of the examination room and a holding part 13 , which carries the gantry 2 and is adjustable in height on the rail part 11 .
Also in the case of the embodiment according to FIG. 2, it is possible to adjust the gantry 2 in an uppermost position, the lower edge has in the bottom 9 of the examination space at a distance d which is at least equal to the height of the vast majority of patients.
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, in the case of the invention, a more or less bulky structure of the supporting part, that is to say the ceiling stand 6 or the wall stand 10 , plays no role whatsoever for the accessibility of the gantry to the patient. It is therefore possible, in the case of the invention, to carry out the supporting part without the part for the accessibility of the gantry by the patient in the required rigidity.
In the case of both exemplary embodiments, the gantry 2 can also be pivoted into a position in which its central plane extends at least approximately vertically, so that examinations can be carried out in which the patient is on a patient positioning table, not shown in the figures, which extends through the measuring opening 1 lies.
In the case of the described exemplary embodiments, a conventional X-ray emitter 3 is provided, which emits X-ray radiation emanating from a least at least substantially stationary focus, so that movement of the X-ray emitter 3 around the measurement opening 1 is required. However, a so-called ring tube can also be provided as an X-ray emitter in the context of the invention, in which the focus from which the X-rays emanate can be moved on an annular anode path around the measurement opening 1 . When using such a ring tube, a corresponding device is described in EP 0 495 137 A1, the movement of the x-ray emitter around the measurement opening 1 is accordingly unnecessary. When using a detector ring (fourth generation), the movement of the detector device around the measurement opening 1 can also be eliminated.
The exemplary embodiments described relate to medicine African use of the CT device according to the invention. Erfin However, CT devices according to the invention can be used in the non-medical field be used richly.
