Ein Stent (539), umfassend:
ein erstes rohrförmiges Element mit einer Längsbohrung gebildet aus einem „T"-förmigen Band (530) mit einer ersten Seite (531), einer zweiten Seite (532), einer dritten Seite (533), einer vierten Seite (534), einer fünften Seite (535), einer sechsten Seite (536), einer siebenten Seite (537) und einer achten Seite (538), wobei die zweite Seite (532) mit der achten Seite (538) verbunden ist, und die vierte Seite (534) mit der sechsten Seite (536) verbunden ist,
wobei die dritte Seite (533) und die siebte Seite (537), welche von gleicher Länge sind, eine Zweigöffnung definieren, die zwischen der ersten Seite (531) und der fünften Seite (535) angeordnet ist.

Description

  • Hintergrund der Erfindung
  • Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft Stents und insbesondere gegabelte Stents und Verfahren zur Herstellung von gegabelten Stents zum Einführen in ein abzweigendes Gefäß.
  • Stents sind im Stand der Technik gut bekannt. Sie sind normalerweise aus einem zylindrischen Metallnetz geformt, welches sich ausdehnen kann, wenn im Inneren Druck aufgebracht wird. Alternativ können sie aus Draht geformt sein, der in eine zylindrische Form gewickelt ist, oder aus Materialbahnen, die in eine zylindrische Form geformt sind.
  • Stents sind Vorrichtungen, welche normalerweise innerhalb von Körperkanälen einschließlich des Gefäßsystems implantiert werden, um kollabierende, teilweise verstopfte, geschwächte oder anormal verdünnte Abschnitte des Blutgefäßes zu verstärken. Stents sind auch in anderen Bereichen, wie z. B. dem Harntrakt oder dem Gallenkanal erfolgreich implantiert worden, um solche Körperkanäle zu verstärken.
  • US-Patent 4,994,071 (MacGregor) offenbart einen ausdehnbaren gegabelten Stent mit einem zylindrischen Hauptgitter, das aus miteinander verbundenem flexiblem Draht geformt ist. Zwei zusätzliche zylindrische Gitter, die kleinere Durchmesser als das Hauptgitter aufweisen, sind ähnlich aufgebaut. Das Hauptgitter weist einen flexiblen Draht auf, welcher das Hauptgitter mit einem der zusätzlichen Gitter verbindet. Ein zweiter flexibler Draht verbindet das Hauptgitter mit dem anderen zusätzlichen Gitter. Die flexiblen Drähte bilden Rückgrate, die sich axial entlang der Länge des Hauptgitters und entlang jedes der zusätzlichen Gitter erstrecken. Ein Nachteil dieses sich gabelnden Stents ist die komplexe Natur der Verbindung der flexiblen Drähte, welche die Rückgrate bilden, mit der Schlaufenstruktur jedes Gitters.
  • Aus DE 199 19 375 A1 ist ein gegabelter Stent mit verbesserter Seitenzweigöffnung und ein Verfahren zu seiner Herstellung bekannt. Bei einer erfindungsgemäßen Ausführungsform wird eine erste Bahn in ein erstes Bein, eine zweite Bahn in ein zweites Bein, eine dritte Bahn in einen Stamm geformt, und die beiden Beine werden an dem Stamm befestigt.
  • Zusammenfassung der Erfindung
  • Die vorliegende Erfindung löst diese und andere Nachteile des Standes der Technik durch Stents gemäß Anspruch 1 und das Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 3. Vorteilhafte Weiterentwicklungen der Erfindung sind jeweils Gegenstand der Unteransprüche. Die Erfindung baut auf der Offenbarung der DE 199 19 375 A1 auf, auf welche hiermit vollumfänglich Bezug genommen wird.
  • 1 zeigt eine Ausführungsform eines Bandes, das verwendet wird, um einen Stent gemäß der Erfindung zu bilden;
  • 2 zeigt einen Stent, der hergestellt ist unter Verwendung des Bandes nach 1; und
  • 3 zeigt ein Band, das verwendet wird, um einen Stent gemäß der Erfindung zu bilden.
  • Detaillierte Beschreibung
  • 1 zeigt eine erfindungsgemäße Ausführungsform des Bandes 514, das verwendet wird, um einen Stent gemäß der Erfindung des Anmelders herzustellen. 1 zeigt ein Band 514 mit einer longitudinalen Achse 515 und einem ersten Abschnitt 516 und einem zweiten Abschnitt 517. Der erste Abschnitt 516 weist ein proximales Ende 518 und ein distales Ende 519 und eine erste laterale Seite 520 und eine zweite laterale Seite 521 auf. Die lateralen Seiten 520 und 521 des ersten Abschnitts 516 sind im wesentlichen parallel zur longitudinalen Achse 515 und sind voneinander mit einer Distanz d1 522 beabstandet angeordnet. Der zweite Abschnitt 517 weist ein proximales Ende 523 und ein distales Ende 524 und eine erste laterale Seite 525 und eine zweite laterale Seite 526 auf. Die lateralen Seiten 525 und 526 des zweiten Abschnittes 517 sind im wesentlichen parallel zur longitudinalen Achse 515 und sind voneinander mit einer zweiten Distanz d2 527 beabstandet angeordnet, die geringer ist als die erste Distanz d1 522. Das proximale Ende 523 des zweiten Abschnitts 517 steht mit dem distalen Ende 519 des ersten Abschnitts 516 in Verbindung. Die Herstellung eines Stents unter Verwendung des Bandes von 1 umfasst die Schritte von Verbinden der ersten lateralen Seite 520 des ersten Abschnitts 516 mit der zweiten lateralen Seite 521 des ersten Abschnitts 516, und Verbinden der ersten lateralen Seiten 525 des zweiten Abschnittes 517 mit der zweiten lateralen Seite 526 des zweiten Abschnittes 517, um ein erstes röhrenförmiges Element 539 zu bilden mit einer Längsbohrung 528 dadurch hindurch, wie in 2 gezeigt. Ein Abschnitt des distalen Endes 519 des ersten Abschnitts 516 und ein Abschnitt des proximalen Endes 523 des zweiten Abschnitts 517 definieren eine Seitenzweigöffnung 529. Wenn es erwünscht ist, einen gegabelten Stent herzustellen, kann ein zweites röhrenförmiges Element mit einer Längsbohrung in die Zweigöffnung des ersten röhrenförmigen Elements angeordnet und befestigt werden, so dass die Längsbohrung des zweiten röhrenförmigen Elements mit der Längsbohrung des ersten röhrenförmigen Elements in fluider Verbindung steht, wie vorhergehend erläutert. Das Band von 1 kann auch beschrieben werden als ein Band 530 mit einer ersten Seite 531, einer zweiten Seite 532, einer dritten Seite 533, einer vierten Seite 534, einer fünften Seite 535, einer sechsten Seite 536, einer siebten Seiten 537 und einer achten Seite 538, wie in 3 gezeigt. Die Herstellung eines Stents 539 unter Verwendung des in 3 gezeigten Bandes umfasst die Schritte Verbinden der zweiten Seite 532 mit der achten Seite 538, und Verbinden der vierten Seite 534 mit der sechsten Seite 536, um einen Stent 539 zu bilden mit einer Längsbohrung 528 dadurch hindurch, und wobei die dritte Seite 533 und die siebte Seite 537 eine Zweigöffnung 529 definieren, die zwischen der ersten Seite 531 und er fünften Seite 535 angeordnet ist, wie in 2 gezeigt. Wenn es gewünscht ist, einen gegabelten Stent herzustellen, wird ein zweites röhrenförmiges Element mit einer Längsbohrung in der Zweigöffnung des ersten röhrenförmigen Elements angeordnet und befestigt, so dass die Längsbohrung des zweiten röhrenförmigen Elements mit der Längsbohrung des ersten röhrenförmigen Elements in fluider Verbindung steht.

Claims (4)

  1. Ein Stent (539), umfassend: ein erstes rohrförmiges Element mit einer Längsbohrung gebildet aus einem „T"-förmigen Band (530) mit einer ersten Seite (531), einer zweiten Seite (532), einer dritten Seite (533), einer vierten Seite (534), einer fünften Seite (535), einer sechsten Seite (536), einer siebenten Seite (537) und einer achten Seite (538), wobei die zweite Seite (532) mit der achten Seite (538) verbunden ist, und die vierte Seite (534) mit der sechsten Seite (536) verbunden ist, wobei die dritte Seite (533) und die siebte Seite (537), welche von gleicher Länge sind, eine Zweigöffnung definieren, die zwischen der ersten Seite (531) und der fünften Seite (535) angeordnet ist.
  2. Der Stent nach Anspruch 1, weiter umfassend ein zweites rohrförmiges Element mit einer Längsbohrung, wobei die Längsbohrung des zweiten rohrförmigen Elements mit der Längsbohrung des ersten rohrförmigen Elements in fluider Verbindung steht.
  3. Verfahren zum Herstellen eines Stents (539), umfassend die Schritte: a) Vorbereiten einer „T"-förmigen Bahn (530) mit einer ersten Seite (531), einer zweiten Seite (532), einer dritten Seite (533), einer vierten Seite (534), einer fünften Seite (535), einer sechsten Seite (536), einer siebenten Seite (537) und einer achten Seite (538), wobei die dritte Seite (533) und die siebte Seite (537) von gleicher Länge sind, und b) Verbinden der zweiten Seite (532) mit der achten Seite (538) und Verbinden der vierten Seite (534) mit der sechsten Seite (536), so dass die dritte Seite (533) und die siebte Seite (537) eine Zweigöffnung definieren, die zwischen der ersten Seite (531) und der fünften Seite (535) angeordnet ist.
  4. Verfahren nach Anspruch 3, weiter umfassend die Schritte: c) Anordnen und Befestigen eines zweiten rohrförmigen Elements mit einer Längsbohrung in der Seitenzweigöffnung des ersten rohrförmigen Elements, wobei die Längsbohrung des zweiten rohrförmigen Elements mit der Längsbohrung des ersten rohrförmigen Elements in fluider Verbindung steht.
