Description

合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造方法及装置
技术领域
本发明关于一种合成树脂制瓶(bottle)状容器的制造方法及装置,特别是关于一种在短时间内对容器的颈部(neck)进行结晶化处理的制造方法。
背景技术
对合成树脂制瓶状容器而言,为了提高容器颈部的耐热性及耐久性,公知的方法是将对应塑坯预塑(pre-form)的颈部加热而使其结晶化。容器的主体通过二轴延伸吹炼(blow)成形而将分子进行配向,与所维持的透明性相对照可知,施加结晶化处理的颈部具有由球晶成长而得的结晶组织,因而变成白色或乳白色而失去透明。前述的瓶状容器的制造方法例如是美国专利第4375442号申请案所具体记载的技术。
合成树脂的结晶化为合成树脂在玻璃转移温度以上的温度条件下加热产生的。一般而言,当为聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(polyethyleneterephthalate,PET)树脂的情形下,塑坯预塑的颈部于大约摄氏120度以上的温度下,并于所定时间内持续加热而进行结晶化。较特别的是,在大约摄氏170度~摄氏190度左右的温度领域内进行加热可以提高结晶化速度。
然而,在公知的结晶方法中,由于塑坯预塑的颈部会从开始加热之后缓缓地升温至上述结晶化温度的领域,因此,实际上结晶化开始至结束为止的时间需要比较长的时间,因而有其本身的生产性提升的界限。
鉴于上述问题,本发明的目的是提供一种合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造技术,以利用比较短的时间进行结晶化处理。
发明内容
为解决上述问题,本发明提出一种合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造方法,包括对相当于容器的颈部的塑坯预塑的颈部进行加热结晶化的热处理制造工艺,此热处理制造工艺包括第一阶段及第二阶段。第一阶段是将塑坯预塑的颈部迅速升温至容器的合成树脂的融点之前的温度为止。第二阶段是接续第一阶段,将塑坯预塑的颈部的温度维持于促进塑坯预塑的颈部的合成树脂的结晶化的范围内。
再者,本发明提出一种合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造装置,包括对相当于容器的颈部的塑坯预塑的颈部进行加热结晶化的热处理手段,此热处理手段包括第一阶段及第二阶段。第一阶段是将塑坯预塑的颈部迅速升温至容器的合成树脂的融点之前的温度为止。第二阶段是接续第一阶段,将塑坯预塑的颈部的温度维持于促进塑坯预塑的颈部的合成树脂的结晶化的范围内。
亦即,当进行本发明的合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造之际,对塑坯预塑的颈部进行加热而结晶化时,将塑坯预塑的颈部迅速升温至其合成树脂的融点之前的温度为止,其中当合成树脂为聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯树脂时,则是迅速升温至摄氏200度~摄氏230度左右的温度为止。接着将塑坯预塑的颈部的温度维持于可促进其合成树脂的结晶化的温度范围内,其中当合成树脂为聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯树脂时,则是将温度维持于摄氏170度~摄氏195度左右的温度。由此,可使颈部的气氛气温度在稳定的状态下,到达促进结晶化的温度范围的时间,进而可以缩短颈部结晶化处理所需的时间,并大幅提高生产效率。
当实施本发明之际,较佳是用加热器的加热输出进行热处理,其中在热处理的第一阶段中,将加热输出控制在比较高的程度,而在第二阶段中,将加热输出控制在比较低的程度。在此情形下,通过对加热器的加热输出的控制,可轻易实现用以将颈部在比较短的时间结晶化的最佳温度管理。
在热处理的该第二阶段中,还包括于塑坯预塑的颈部的外面适用空气喷射器。在此情形下,第二阶段中颈部的温度在施加加热器的加热输出控制之后,可通过来自空气喷嘴有空气的流量控制而轻易地维持于最佳值,进而可使时间最小化。
在适用有该空气喷射器之际,较佳是利用挡板遮蔽塑坯预塑的颈部的开口,以阻止空气流入塑坯预塑的颈部内。在此情形下,可以减少颈部的外面及内面之间的温度差,进而可以抑制在颈部的开口内所发生的皱折等表面缺陷。

为让本发明的上述和其它目的、特征、和优点能更明显易懂,下文特举较佳实施例,并配合附图,作详细说明如下:
本发明为了制造由具有聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯树脂等的结晶性的热可塑性合成树脂所构成的瓶状容器,在将对应容器的塑坯预塑,置于欲使用的主体的模具内,利用二轴延伸吹炼成形(biaxially-oriented blowforming)的同时,对颈部加热而使之结晶化。此类制造方法可使用前述的美国专利第4375442号申请案中所具体记载的技术。
请参照图1所示,塑坯预塑10为通过热可塑性合成树脂的射出成形或压出成形所形成的物质,且此塑坯预塑10具有颈部11、主体12及底部13。颈部11为设有用以作为容器的注入口的开口14,其中于外面11a上施加螺纹(screw),且内面11b形成平滑面。
在塑坯预塑10中,颈部11的结晶化处理例如是在塑坯预塑10的二轴延伸吹炼成形之前,利用图2所示的热处理装置20进行此结晶化处理。此热处理装置20是具有略成圆筒状的挟持器(holder)21。挟持器21可循着图2所示的垂直于中心轴线的周缘的箭头方向进行转动。挟持器21为可拆装的用以保持塑坯预塑10的物体,其可在暴露出颈部11的状态下,包覆塑坯预塑10的主体及底部13。在从挟持器21突出且与颈部11成对向的位置上,一侧配置有加热器(heater)22,另一侧配置有空气喷嘴(air nozzle)23。加热器22例如是使用近红外线加热器或远红外线加热器。空气喷嘴23较佳是具有流出孔(orifice),此流出孔是与塑坯预塑10的中心轴线平行延伸且具有线性的截面形状。加热器22及空气喷嘴23可通过控制器24进行自动控制。另外,在从挟持器21突出的颈部11的正上方上,配置有用以遮蔽颈部11的开口14的挡板25。挡板25较佳是具有用以对来自空气喷嘴23的空气喷射器的流动进行适当导引的侧板的功能。
在图2所示的热处理装置20中,可借着沿保持有塑坯预塑10的挟持器21的中心轴线的周缘进行转动而使加热器22动作,进而对从挟持器21突出的塑坯预塑10的颈部11进行加热。再者,对应必要时,空气喷射器从空气喷嘴23喷出至颈部11的外面11a,以使颈部11的表面温度稳定的维持于后述的所定范围内。而且,挡板25可通过遮蔽颈部11的开口14,而在适用于空气喷射器之际,阻止空气流入塑坯预塑10的颈部11内,并减少颈部11的外面11a及内面11b之间的温度差。
图3所示为线性图标颈部温度变化的时间图。其中,实线Ta表示本发明的结晶化处理时的温度变化,而一点链线Tb表示公知的结晶化处理时的温度变化。
在本发明中,由图3的实线Ta可知,当颈部11的加热之际,在从开始加热的时间点开始的第一阶段(时间t=0~t1)中,颈部11的表面温度T迅速上升至构成塑坯预塑的合成树脂的融点之前的温度T3为止。在接下来的第二阶段(时间t=t1~t2)中,颈部11的表面温度T会降低至可以有效的促进合成树脂的结晶化的温度领域R(T1≤T≤T2)内,并将温度维持此温度领域R内,以进行结晶化,且得完成结晶化之物。
相对于此,公知如同图3所示的一点链线Tb所示,当颈部11加热之际,颈部11的表面温度T会从开始加热的时间点(t=0)开始缓缓升温至上述温度领域R内。亦即单纯的上升的结果,结晶化处理的完成时间点t=t3迟于本发明的完成时间点t=t2。换言之,本发明进行结晶化处理所需的时间可比公知技术缩短Δt=t3-t2的时间。
接着,以塑坯预塑10由聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯树脂所构成的情形为例,进行更具体的说明。在本发明中,颈部11的表面温度T在结晶化处理的第一阶段(时间t=0~t1)中,从开始迅速上升至融点之前的温度T3220℃为止。接着,在第二阶段(时间t=t1~t2)中,降低至可以有效的促进结晶化的的T2190℃至T1170℃之间的温度领域R(T1≤T≤T2)为止,并将温度维持此温度领域R内。
为此,较佳是通过诸如控制器24将加热器22的加热输出,于第一阶段时,控制在比较高的程度(当加热器之最大输出为2kW的情形时,约为最大输出的95%左右),并于第二阶段时,控制在比较低的程度(当加热器的最大输出为2kW的情形时,约为最大输出的70%左右)。在此情形下,通过控制器24对加热器22的加热输出的控制,可轻易实现使颈部11在较短的时间内进行结晶化的最佳温度管理。而且,加热器22的加热输出也可以使用连续的变化取代前述的由第一阶段至第二阶段的一步步的变化。
在结晶化处理的第二阶段中,为了使颈部11的表面温度T稳定的维持于上述温度领域R内,因而需对加热器22的加热输出进行控制,并对应必要时,空气喷射器从空气喷嘴23喷出至颈部11的外面11a,以使颈部11的表面温度稳定的维持于后述的所定范围内。在此情形下,挡板25可通过遮蔽颈部11的开口14,而阻止空气流入颈部11内,进而避免在颈部11的开口14内发生皱折等表面缺陷。
对由聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯树脂所构成的塑坯预塑10而言,当适当地对加热器22及空气喷嘴23的动作进行控制时,颈部11的结晶化所需要的时间,经实验证明,可比上述公知技术缩短约30%左右的时间。
由以上的说明可明显的得知,本发明提供一种合成树脂制瓶状容器的新的制造技术,以利用比较短的时间进行容器颈部的结晶化处理。其结果显示可以达成将生产效率大幅提高的目的。
另外,虽然本发明已以一较佳实施例公开如上,然其并非用以限定本发明,任何本领域的技术人员,在不脱离本发明的精神和范围内,可作各种的更动与润饰,例如,可以将上述较佳实施例中所公开的先对颈部11施加结晶化处理再进行塑坯预塑10的二轴延伸吹炼成形的方式变更为先进行塑坯预塑10的二轴延伸吹炼成形,再对颈部11施加结晶化处理。

Claims (18)

1.一种合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造方法,包括对相当于该容器的颈部的一塑坯预塑的颈部进行加热结晶化的一热处理制造工艺,该热处理制造工艺包括:
一第一阶段,将该塑坯预塑的颈部迅速升温至该容器的合成树脂的融点之前的温度为止;
一第二阶段,接续该第一阶段,将该塑坯预塑的颈部的温度维持于促进该塑坯预塑的颈部的合成树脂的结晶化的范围内。
2.如权利要求1项所述的合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造方法,还包括用一加热器的一加热输出进行该热处理,其中在该热处理的该第一阶段中,将该加热输出控制在比较高的程度,而在该第二阶段中,将该加热输出控制在比较低的程度。
3.如权利要求1项所述的合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造方法,其特征在于:在该热处理的该第二阶段中,还包括于该塑坯预塑的颈部的外面适用一空气喷射器。
4.如权利要求3项所述的合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造方法,其特征在于:适用有该空气喷射器之际,利用一挡板遮蔽该塑坯预塑的颈部的开口,以阻止空气流入该塑坯预塑的颈部内。
5.如权利要求1项所述的合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造方法,其特征在于:该合成树脂制容器由结晶性的热可塑性合成树脂所构成。
6.如权利要求5项所述的合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造方法,其特征在于:该合成树脂制容器由聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯树脂所构成。
7.一种聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯树脂制瓶状容器的制造方法,包括对相当于该容器的颈部的一塑坯预塑的颈部进行加热结晶化的一热处理制造工艺,该热处理制造工艺包括:
一第一阶段,将该塑坯预塑的颈部迅速升温至摄氏200度~摄氏230度左右的温度为止;
一第二阶段,接续该第一阶段,将该塑坯预塑的颈部温度维持于摄氏170度~摄氏195度左右的温度。
8.如权利要求7项所述的合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造方法,还包括用一加热器的一加热输出进行该热处理,其中在该热处理的该第一阶段中,将该加热输出控制在比较高的程度,而在该第二阶段中,将该加热输出控制在比较低的程度。
9.如权利要求7项所述的合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造方法,其特征在于:在该热处理的该第二阶段中,还包括于该塑坯预塑的颈部的外面适用一空气喷射器。
10.如权利要求9项所述的合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造方法,其特征在于:适用有该空气喷射器之际,利用一挡板遮蔽该塑坯预塑的颈部的开口,以阻止空气流入该塑坯预塑的颈部内。
11.一种合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造装置,包括对相当于该容器的颈部的一塑坯预塑的颈部进行加热结晶化的一热处理手段,该热处理手段包括:
一第一阶段,将该塑坯预塑的颈部迅速升温至该容器的合成树脂的融点之前的温度为止;
一第二阶段,接续该第一阶段,将该塑坯预塑的颈部的温度维持于促进该塑坯预塑的颈部的合成树脂的结晶化的范围内。
12.如权利要求11项所述的合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造装置,其特征在于:该热处理手段包括一加热器及该加热器的一加热输出,且在该热处理的该第一阶段中,将该加热输出控制在比较高的程度,而在该第二阶段中,将该加热输出控制在比较低的程度。
13.如权利要求11项所述的合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造装置,其特征在于:在该热处理的该第二阶段中,还包括于该塑坯预塑的颈部的外面适用一空气喷射器。
14.如权利要求13项所述的合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造装置,其特征在于:适用有该空气喷射器之际,利用一挡板遮蔽该塑坯预塑的颈部的开口,以阻止空气流入该塑坯预塑的颈部内。
15.一种聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯树脂制瓶状容器的制造装置,包括对相当于该容器的颈部的一塑坯预塑的颈部进行加热结晶化的一热处理手段,该热处理手段包括:
一第一阶段,将该塑坯预塑的颈部迅速升温至摄氏200度~摄氏230度左右的温度为止;
一第二阶段,接续该第一阶段,将该塑坯预塑的颈部温度维持于摄氏170度~摄氏195度左右的温度。
16.如权利要求15项所述的合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造装置,其特征在于:该热处理手段包括一加热器及该加热器的一加热输出,且在该热处理的该第一阶段中,将该加热输出控制在比较高的程度,而在该第二阶段中,将该加热输出控制在比较低的程度。
17.如权利要求15项所述的合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造装置,其特征在于:在该热处理的该第二阶段中,还包括于该塑坯预塑的颈部的外面适用一空气喷射器。
18.如权利要求17项所述的合成树脂制瓶状容器的制造装置,其特征在于:适用有该空气喷射器之际,利用一挡板遮蔽该塑坯预塑的颈部的开口,以阻止空气流入该塑坯预塑的颈部内。
