本发明还涉及显示短菜单的方法。
这种装置是众所周知的，并且有许多应用场合，特别是在便携式电话机领域。这种类型的装置的问题是：它们必须具有小的尺寸，因为它们是手持式的，结果，不可能在单一屏幕上显示可能具有许多项目的菜单的所有项目。
美国专利5,761,610描述了这种允许显示的装置。该专利中建议建立从主菜单中得出的子菜单。这使用户要非常频繁地操纵这些菜单的命令。
本发明提出一种开篇中定义的类型的装置，其中提供便于察觉那些可能被显示的短菜单的装置。
为此，这种装置具有以下特征：所选择的菜单处在这样的位置，使得它可以察觉至少一个向上或向下的短菜单。
本发明的想法是：在短菜单被显示之前和之后用户觉察这些短菜单，使得用户在确认短菜单之前感觉到更加舒适。申请人通过试验已经证实了这种舒适的感觉。

图1中显示根据本发明的装置。该装置包括外壳1，在该外壳上设置键盘3，一组键5，天线6，传声器7，耳机8和显示器10，使显示器10上的某些信息可以被用户察觉。
图2显示具有其相关的显示控制器12的这种显示器10，它允许使用各种屏幕配置。这些配置是根据来自与控制器12相联系的存储器14的信息产生的。该存储器包括：部分14a，它是随机存取存储器；以及部分14b，它一方面存储形成屏幕配置10的控制指令，另一方面存储准备在键5的控制下显示的菜单的短菜单。屏幕上示出位于短菜单标题行HDR下面的短菜单LIG1，LIG2，LIG3和LIG4的各行。为了把它本身与项目行区分开，以反方式处理行HDR，就是说，其字符的颜色不同于项目行的字符的颜色。该图中，很可能将被确认的项目行用其周围的框MO示出。在键5的控制下，有可能使各项目行向上和向下滚动。这里，向上是朝着屏幕的顶部，而向下是朝着屏幕的底部。
根据本发明，在这样的位置上显示短菜单：它总是使至少一个向上或向下的短菜单是可见的。
图3示出根据本发明的变型的显示器的三种可能的配置。
配置I表示第一配置，其中有标题和许多短菜单行。
配置II表示和以前相同的屏幕，但是没有标题。
配置III表示利用缩放功能的可能性。在这后一种配置中，也可以删掉标题，以便可以看到更多的短菜单行。
图4示出由为说明屏幕控制器12的用于实现本发明的操作而设计的各种框构成的流程图。
框K0表示选择由用户选定的配置。例如，用户通过操作键5来作出这种选择。
如果选择配置I，则他进到框K10。这种配置对应于具有大量行的屏幕，因此，使所述屏幕控制器处在其最高分辨率。框K12被用户选择的菜单。在框K14中显示标题，而在框K16中显示该菜单的4行，同时，可以通过滚动它们来显示该菜单中的其它短菜单行。框K17表示已出现的行的显示，而框K18表示确认了短菜单之后准备采取的行动。
如果选择配置II，则他进到框K20。这种配置也对应于包括大量行的显示，同时使显示控制器处在其最高分辨率。框K22表示由用户选择的菜单。在框K26中显示该菜单中的5行，因为其中一行占据标题的位置。此外，还可以通过滚动它们来显示该菜单中的其它短菜单行。框K27表示已出现的行的显示，而框K28表示确认了短菜单之后准备采取的行动。

Claims (5)

1.一种电子装置，它包括：
-将在其上显示多个短菜单的屏幕，
-用来向上和/或向下滚动所述短菜单的滚动装置，
-用来选择所述菜单之一的突出装置。
其特征在于：
所述选择的菜单处在这样的位置，使得它允许察觉至少一个向上或向下的短菜单。
2.权利要求1的装置，其中，每一个菜单包括标题短菜单和多个短菜单项目，其特征在于：提供用于删除所述短菜单标题以便显示项目行的删除命令。
3.权利要求2的装置，其特征在于：提供用于在所述屏幕上显示扩大的短菜单的缩放命令。
4.一种在权利要求1至3之一的装置中实现的显示短菜单的方法，其特征在于它包括以下步骤：
-从屏幕的顶部到底部显示短菜单，
-显示所述短菜单之一，同时使一个短菜单或者是向上可读的或者是向下可读的。
5.权利要求4的方法，其特征在于：还提供在用户控制之下安置所述短菜单的滚动步骤。
