Description

多用数据卡
本发明涉及数据卡，更具体地说涉及一种能够替换多种已有单用数据卡的多用数据卡，还涉及采用该卡的系统和方法。
通用术语″数据卡″不仅包括所有各种财务卡而且还包括各种包含非财务数据的其它卡。术语″财务卡″包括：信用卡、借贷卡、A.T.M<自动出纳机>卡和其它包含财务数据的卡。由另外的观点看，仅引用一些实例，数据卡包括：石油公司卡、百货商店卡、汽车租用卡，旅馆卡和民航卡。
数据卡现在很普遍了；它们的应用已经增加到这样的程度，假如一个人要在现代社会中活动，各种卡的使用者就会发现携带全部看起来需要的卡是不适宜和累赘的。
为了解决卡的增长的问题，过去已经有过很式尝试。例如，″通用″信用卡(例如Amencan Express、Visa、Master charge)的某些发行商已经说服很多企业，包括例如百货商店、石油公司、民航公司和汽车出租公司等发行它们自己的信用卡的企业，除了由百货公司、石油公司等分别发行的卡以外，接受通用信用卡。此外还有共同铭印标记的卡。即使这样做、没有单一的被普通接受的信用卡，并且尚未预见到任何单一的信用卡的发行商例如American Express、Visa、Master Charge等到底谁很可能被整个国内或世界范围所接受。
因此，现在市场上已存在的，并且通用的，不仅有信用卡，而且还有借贷卡和各种各样的其它财务—交易卡，附加的数据卡和表格，它们经常不能由机器读出，例如用于司机许可证、建筑物安全保密、保险业务、个人身份鉴别等等。
在指定的数据卡种类范围内，有很多种磁条卡和所谓的″智能″(Smart)卡。通用的磁条卡容量受到限制。  智能卡还没有这样广泛地应用，不过因为它们具有卓越的能力显现巨大的前途。这两种卡需要不同的读出装置。实际上，智能卡至少有两种类型；采用电触点和所谓″非读触″式智能卡。后者利用一种场在A.T.M或销售点的终端机上读取；为了读卡不需要电触点。
为了取代，更换或统一数据卡，存在着迄今未能满足的巨大需求，以使很多数据卡发行商能表示在单一数据卡内部并使用户对于所有类型的交易，包括上面列举和其它的交易仅携带使用一张卡。
还有这样的需要使销售方单独或集中地能对频繁使用进行奖励点值(Points)以及有效地跟踪这种奖励。例如，对民航里数运价额外奖励的现行系统是麻烦的，要求乘客在购票时以非书面方式通知机票代售商他的经常乘的飞机的号数并要求民航公司准备定期的报告，以通知乘客的奖励帐目的现行状态。
还需要消除由超级市场和类似商店采用附送赠品的商品推销系统的麻烦和扰动。为了得到折扣，顾客不赞成消减在商店或在报纸上经常发出的优惠卷。非常希望一种替换系统，这样系统自动根据现时购买和/或购买历史，自动保持跟踪购买和奖励的折扣或者跟踪因商标失灵而使用等效奖卷和以其它方式进行的奖励。
很清楚，由于缺乏用于实施的适当方式，所谓的无现金社会的前景已经被推迟了。
本发明的一个目的是补救上面概述的现有技术存在的问题。更具体地说，本发明的一个目的是提供一种能够替代多种(的确为所有的)已有的单用数据卡(不管它们是否是共同铭印标志)的多用数据卡。
本发明的另一目的是提供一种系统，其包含至少一个多用数据卡以及至少一个这样构成的数据卡读出装置，使单一数据卡能够替代多种已有的单用数据卡。
本发明的另一目的是提供一种方法，其采用至少一个多用数据卡和至少一个数据卡读出装置，包含的步骤使得能用一多用数据卡替代多种已有的单用数据卡。
本发明的另一目的是提供一单张式数据卡，可以由任何人携带，使得任何人携带一张卡且仅需一张卡。
根据本发明上述和其它目的的实现是通过提供一种能够替代多种已有的单用数据卡的多用数据卡以及该卡包含至少由三个存储体构成的存储装置，用于存储和更新分别与该卡的至少一个被认可的持卡人和至少两种被认可的应用有关的数据。
根据本发明的一个独立的方面，提供一种能够替代多种已有的单用数据卡的多用数据卡，该卡包含一种用于利用可与一磁条卡兼容的数据卡读出装置读出的磁条和一个用于利用可与一智能卡兼容的数据卡读出装置读出的固态电路。

根据本发明，至少形成三个存储体，用于存储和更新分别与至少一个授权持卡人以及卡的至少两种应用有关的数据。假如该卡是智能卡，则存储器至少有一部分设置在卡上。另一方面，假如该卡是一磁条卡，则存储器位置至少有一部分不在卡读出装置中，而通过数据传输线连接到其上。

最好使用本发明的智能卡。由于智能卡具有较好的保密性，不需要使用数据传输线，一智能卡可以具有较高的交易限额。因此，可以使交易被预先授权。由另一观点看来，智能卡可以自行授权，对于某些交易，系统可以这样构成，使之不需要得到中心机构的许可认证(Clearance)。避免使用数据传输线节省了费用和时间。由按照本发明使用的智能卡所提供的改进的保密安全性将降低欺骗的可能性和使发行者节省发行费用。
当该卡用作一频用卡时，例如在American Express HyattHotel United Airlines和Hertz之间，可以易于成为一种通惠卡。
该卡适用于商用和个人使用。假若例如跟踪查索民航里程计费，确定里程计费奖励，如果记录在卡上，则能够立即使用，只不过将卡提供到卡读出装置以及输入适当的指令即可。这就降低了每次选行交易时的邮票费用。
该卡的其中一种应用是作为存有一定现金额的现金卡，因此不再需要旅行者的交易支票。在多种货币的情况下可以实现，因此使旅行者免得携带多种外国货币。
在任何应用中，该卡可以加密以利安全，可采用任何常规的或非常规的加密系统加密。
本技术领域的普通人员应易于理解，可以在卡上记录以数字形式加密的声音和图像信号，对于声音和信号可利用适当的终端进行显示。
该卡可以与具有″个人计算机存储器卡″槽口的计算机(P.C机、膝上式、掌上式、袋装式等)进行通讯，从而提供日历、日期薄和支票薄。利用一适配器，可以在PCMC槽口中使用智能卡，由其读出和向其写入数据。卡的使用者然后利用计算机在卡上存取数据(和变动某些数据)。假如该计算机具有调制解调器，它就变成一个终端，因此可以进行交易。此外，假如带读写功能的电话，则其可适用于本发明。也可以采用其它能够执行读写功能的装置。
由于该卡可以存储每次使用贷款的数值，故该卡可以用于大宗交易。
除了根据货币支付能力要加以限制之外，对可提供在卡上的持卡人有关的数据设有限制。例如，这些数据可以由如下数据构成的组合中进行选择，这些数据是：所述持卡人的医疗病历；所述持卡人的保险记录；所述持卡人的驾驶执照；所述持卡人的护照；所述持卡人的财务记录；所述持卡人的数字化的指纹；所述持卡人的数字化的声纹；所述持卡人的保密代码；所述持卡人的商业-奖励点值。
与之相似，除了根据卡的货币支付能力施加限制之外，对与应用相关的数据没有限制。这些数据可以由如下数据构成的组合中进行选择，这些数据是：持卡人的预付交易；持卡人的信用卡交易；持卡人的借贷交易；持卡人的电子方式的现金转移；持卡人的健康护理费用帐目；持卡人的保险交易；持卡人的商业奖励点值交易；持卡人的民航购票交易；持卡人的火车购票交易；持卡人的公共汽车购票交易；持卡人的乘船购票交易；持卡人的剧场购票交易。
图5表示典型应用记录的另一实例。可以选择性地替换图1中所示的记录，或者将图1和图5的特征综合在单一的系统中。图5划分成七列，各列标题分别是″卡发行者″、″应用代码″、″PIN号码″、″销售方存取代码″、″帐号″、″期满日期″和″杂项数据″。
″卡发行者″列包括(以举例的方式)：AMEX、KFC、Any Card、VISA(借贷)、VISA(信用)等。
″应用代码″列指如下各个应用(以举例方式)：信用、借贷、预付、奖金奖励等等。这些和其它应用下面将更详细地研究。
第三列作为一个实例提供一种PIN号码，对于卡的使用人的个人4位数字号码。当然，该PIN号码并不出现在卡的表面上，只有被认可的卡使用人和卡发行人知道。在使用期间，使用人将卡锁定。这是一种防非经授权使用的安全措施。该PIN代码对所有应用都相同表示，使用人可以方便地将其找到，不过，当然对于几种应用可以是不同的。对于不同应用使用不同的PIN号码可以使使用人能够为了某些目的(例如为公司汽车购买石油)出借该卡(例如借给雇员)，同时不允许卡的借用个人利用该卡进行一般购买。
第四列与销售方存取代码有关。利用这种代码，使每个销售方式其它卡发行人能够利用所需记录的各个部分，便于该销售方(发行人)进行交易，同时不允许其它销售方(发行人)和第三方普遍利用记录的某些机密部分。
第五列用于帐号。由特定销售方或其它卡发行人指定的帐号当然对每个使用人是不同的，对同一使用人的每种应用可供选择为不同的。例如，VISA对于借贷交易可以采用与同一卡使用人用于信用卡交易采用帐号不同的帐号。相反，VISA对于同一使用人进行的两种类型交易可以选择采用相同的帐号。
第六列提供卡的期满日期(例如96年5月)。如上面指出的，这一日期以及在卡上的其它信息可以利用电方式改变而无需发行新的卡。因此单一的卡原则上对一指定使用人可以终生使用。
第七列用于杂项数据，是为每个销售方或其它卡发行人保存的，以便记录该销售方可能需要的附加数据。
图6表示在步骤101外开始的卡的编排情况。在步骤102，确定申请的卡是否是一智能卡。假如是，在步骤104将该卡插入读出装置的智能卡接口槽隙里或保持在读出装置接口的传导区域半径内部。在步骤106，选择和输入一PIN、口令、签字或数字编码的照片，以便于卡的核实认可。
在步骤108，将各种应用记录按预定区距写入智能卡的存储器地域区域内。这些记录其长度是固定或可变的。在步骤110，增加包括预定应用的各种应用，如果存在则表示各种应用之间的相互关系。
在步骤102，假如确定该卡不是一智能卡，则在步骤112，确定它是否为一磁条卡。假如是，在步骤114，将该卡插入到卡读出装置的磁条接口槽隙。在步骤116，选择和输入用于卡的确认许可的PIN、口令、签字或数字编码的照片。在步骤118，将应用记录按预定区域写入中央数据库。像在智能卡的情况中一样，这些记录的长度可以是固定的或是可变的。
在步骤120，增加包括预定应用的各种应用，如果存在则表示各种应用之间的相互关系。
假如在步骤102确定该卡不是一智能卡，在步骤112，确定不是一磁条卡，在步骤122显示产生的反映错误的信息，因此理解该卡可能是这种或那种型式的其他卡。接续在步骤122产生反映错误的信息，程序返回到步骤102。
接续在步骤110或120增加应用，在步骤124确定卡的编排程序是否完成。假如没有，程序循环返回到步骤102。假如完成卡的认可，在步骤126结束卡的编排的程序。
图7表示在131开始用于读出磁条卡或智能卡的软件程序。在步骤132，确定所在的卡是磁条卡还是智能卡。
假始在步骤132确定所在的卡是一磁条卡，则在步骤134，读出帐号，在步骤136将帐号送到一远的位置。在步骤138，输入PIN号码或取得例如确认数字编码的签字的另一种保密防护特征。
在步骤140，确定是否完成核实许可。假如没有，程序循环返回到步骤134。假如在步骤140确定完成核实许可，程序进行到图8，下面将介绍。
假如在步骤132，确定所在的卡是一磁条卡，则在步骤142读出该卡。在步骤144，可选择地输入PIN号码，或者在另一保密步骤进行数字编码的签字的确认。
在步骤146，确定是否完成核实认可。如果没有，程序循环返回到步骤142。假如在步骤146确定完成了核实许可，程序进行到图8。
在图8的步骤151，确定是否预选了应用。假如没有，在步骤152，卡使用人进行应用选择，例如预付交易、信用卡交易、借贷交易或频用交易。接续确定在步骤151，确定有一预选的应用，或者在步骤152，由使用人接续进行选择，在步骤154，该程序从卡中选择帐目记录。
在步骤156，确定所需交易是否是财务交易。假如不是，则在步骤158，确定所需交易是否是非财务交易。假如在步骤156确定该交易不是财务交易和在步骤158确定不是财务交易，则在步骤260，产生一反映错误的信息，以及程序循环返回到步骤156。
假如在步骤156，确定所需交易是财务交易，则在步骤162，确定该财务交易是否为预付的。假如果，在步骤164，由平衡帐目中借出货币量。假如在步骤162确定所需财务交易不是预付的，程序进行到图9，下面将介绍。
接续在步骤164由平衡帐目借贷货币量，则在步骤168确定是否有一预编程的相关应用。假如有程序循环返回到步骤154。否则在步骤170确定使用人是否试图选择另一种相关应用。假如是，在步骤172，将另外的应用选择显示，并且程序循环返回到步骤154。假如没有选择另一种相关应用，如在步骤170确写的，则程序进行到图11，下面将介绍。
假如在步骤158，确定该交易是非财务交易，则在步骤174，将货币量的现金值转变成点值。然后在步骤176，确定累积的点值的偿还是否是需要的。假若是，在步骤178，由卡上剩余的点值中减去适当的点值。假如在步骤176，确定该偿还不是需要的，则在步骤180，确定该累积是否是需要的。假如不是，在步骤182，产生反映错识的信息，因为可以理解，要么需要偿还值要么需要累积值，于是程序循环返回到步骤176。
假如在步骤180，确定累积值是所需的，则在步骤182，将增加的点值增加到在卡上先前累积的点值上。在步骤184，确定是否有一预编程的有关应用。假如有，程序循环返回到步骤154。否则，在步骤186确定使用人是否原意选择另一种相关应用。假如原意，在步骤188显示该另一种应用选择，程序循环返回到步骤154。假如在步骤186确定，使用人不原意选择另一种有关应用，程序进行到图11，下文将介绍。
假如在步骤156，确定需要的交易是财务交易，以及在步骤162，确定不是预付的，则在步骤191(图9)，确定该交易是否是信用卡交易。假如是，在步骤192，确定是否选择了预编程卡发行人。假如没有选择预编程卡发行人，在步骤194选择一专用卡销售人。
接续在步骤194的专门卡销售人的选择或在步骤192确定是否选择了预编程卡的发行人，在发骤196输入一PIN、口令、签字或用于卡核实认可的数字编码的照片。在步骤198，确定是否完成卡的认可。假如没有，程序循环返回到步骤196。当在步骤198确定完成了卡的认可，在步骤200将适当的费用量加到其时平衡帐目上，以及更新在卡的应用记录。然后程序循环返回到图8中的步骤168。
假如在步骤191(图9)确定该交易不是信用卡交易，则在步骤202确定该交易是否包含电子式资金转移。假如不是，在步骤204，显示反映错误的信息，这是由于该交易不是在可能实现的范围内。
假如，在步骤202确定该交易是用电子式资金转移的，则程序进行到图10。
在步骤211，输入用于卡核实许可的PIN、口令、签字或数字编码的照片。在步骤212，确定是否完成卡的核实许可。假如没有，程序循环返回到步骤211。假如在步骤212，确定完成卡的核实认可，则在步骤214确定其数值是否由该卡转移。假如是，在步骤216，由该卡转移该数值，在步骤218进行资金的转移。
假如在步骤214确定该数值不是由该卡转移，则在步骤220确定该数值是否要转移到该卡上。假如是，在步骤216将该数值转移到该卡上，以及在步骤218进行资金的转移。
假如在步骤214和220确定该数值既不是由该卡转移也没有转移到该卡上，则在步骤222产生反映错误的指示并显示，并且程序循环返回到步骤214。
接续在步骤218的资金的转移，程序返回到图8中的步骤168。
无论何时在步骤170或186确定没有选择另一种相关应用(图8)，程序进行到图11。在该图上，在步骤231进行适当的子程序。这包括更新和发送与银行业务、报告、更新、结算和销售人有关的信息。在步骤232，将动态数据更新和存储在卡上(假如为一智能卡)或在中央处理站上(假如该卡为一磁片卡)。向卡使用人显示适当的信息，进行数据库的平衡一致。在本技术领域的原有熟练人员将会理解，怎样实现这些功能。
使卡使用人有机会要求发票。在步骤234，胡定是否已经要求给予发票。如果是，在步骤236打印。在这两种情况下，使用人在步骤238取出该卡。
因此根据本发明提供了一种能够替代多种已有的单用数据卡的新颖、高效的多用数据卡，一种系统，其中，可以采用该卡和按优先顺序应用，以及采用该卡的一种方法。对于本技术领域的熟练人员来说将易于实现对上面公开的本发明的优选实施例的很多改进和扩展。因此，按照所有包括的实施例来构成的本发明处在所提出的权利要求的保护范围之内。

Claims (4)

1  一种智能卡，用于记录与卡使用人和多个卡发行人以及与每个发行人相关的数据，包含如下的区：
应用代码区，指示由发行人向使用人可提供的应用类型；
识别使用人的PIN区；
存取代码区，借此卡发行人可以使用与该发行人相关的区，但是不能使用与其它发行人相关的区；
帐号区；
期满日期区；以及
杂项数据区，提供用于发行人记录附加的数据，以便利于进行与使用人有关的业务；
其中，与每个发行人有关的各区与和另外的每个发行人有关的各区是分开的。
2 根据权利要求1所述的智能卡，其中的应用的类型包括财务交易。
3 根据权利要求1所述的智能卡，其中的应用类型包括非财务交易。
4 根据权利要求1所述的智能卡，其中的应用类型是由包括信用卡交易、借贷交易，预付交易和奖金奖励交易组成的组合中选择的。
