背景技术
诊断测定和高通量筛选的自动化已变得越来越普遍,并且已开发出一些装置,用以满足对多个样品的快速、敏感和一致性分析的不断增长的需要。例如,近年来,已开发出例如用于核酸测定的样品制备和处理的一体化装置。
许多重要的测定要求例如核酸、蛋白质等不同的组分与临床和/或环境样品的分离。将核酸、蛋白质或感兴趣的其他分析物与临床或环境样品分离将会是费时和费力的。样品的手工制备也受到因人为误差和不准确所致的更多变化。若干变量影响了样品制备的一致性和准确性,其通常涉及若干试剂和需要多次转移(例如,移液)操作。通常,所需的试剂具有足够的品种,它们通常需要不同于彼此的处理并且可从不同的供应商购得。这样,不同供应商和许多特定试剂之间的变化,以及一个或许多个体对不同试剂的不同处理可能导致测定波动。其次,多次移液操作引入了例如样品间和样品内的交叉污染的可能性(例如,在单一样品的不同制备和/或处理步骤期间所使用的试剂)。

具体实施方式
本文所述实施例提供了被配置成用于保持、运输和存储样品(例如临床和/或环境样品)的制备和加工中所使用的多个试剂和材料的试剂架。本文所提供的试剂架提供了在例如临床和/或环境样品的样品制备和处理中的若干优点,并且适于用于自动化样品处理装置。通过举例的方式,本文所公开的试剂架所提供的一些优点包括,但不限制于这样的设计:即(1)将试剂和样品的交叉污染减至最小;(2)促进试剂条/一次性用品的质量控制;(3)简化制作;以及(4)提供可用于不同的分子平台和自动化装置的灵活性。
本文中的保持器还被配置成由例如在多个样品上同时实施自动化样品制备的设备所用。例如,此种装置的示例性形式描述在国际专利申请公开号WO09/054870中,该申请通过引用以其整体并入本文。
例如通过PCR等方式,在诸如核酸检测(“NAT”)的测定中所使用的样品的制备可以包括以下步骤中的一个或多个:例如,在PCR或其他扩增的情况中,使多核苷酸样品与核酸检测NAT试剂混合物接触,该NAT试剂混合物包括聚合酶和多个核苷酸。在一些实施例中,该试剂混合物可以还包括带有可检测部分的杂交探针,其中所述探针具体地杂交至靶核酸(和/或阳性对照靶核酸序列)。

芯孔180,无论是不成对存在还是作为孔口对而存在,可有利地用于手动(通过目视检查)或自动地(例如,通过光学传感器)确定在移液管护套120内存在或不存在移液管端头。因此,芯孔180在组合试剂条使用之前提供了额外的质量控制检查点。例如,在移液管端头的制动化检查的情况下,当芯孔180作为移液管护套孔口对而存在时,人们可将光通过孔口对的第一芯孔。当移液管护套120未容纳移液管端头时,光可通过在护套相对侧上对齐的孔口对的第一和第二芯孔。当移液管护套存在于护套内时,移液管端头阻挡或阻碍每个孔口对的第一和第二芯孔之间的可视通路。以这种方式,护套孔口对180可以易于用来确定移液管端头是否存在于每个护套120中。当存在芯孔180时,而不是移液管护套孔口对的部分,人们可以通过计算例如穿过不成对芯孔的光的反射或阻碍,来确定护套内存在或不存在移液管端头,因为反射或阻碍将根据移液管端头是存在还是不存在于移液管护套内而不同。例如,在一些实施例中,可以使用诸如回归反射型检测器的本领域已知的方法和装置来确定光反射的检查。在一些实施例中,例如通过使用诸如波束透射传感器的本领域已知方法和装置,来测量光的阻碍,从而测定护套内存在或不存在移液管端头。
如上所述,在一些实施例中,护套内存在不止一个移液管护套孔口对180,例如,如图3所示。当多个芯孔180存在于移液管护套内(例如,2、3、4、5、6、7、8、9、10或更多)时,每个芯孔可以存在于相对于限定移液管端头孔口的条状物110的顶侧沿移液管护套长度的不同位置或距离处。同理,沿单一移液管护套的长度可以存在多个护套孔口对180,其中相对于限定移液管端头孔口的条状物110的顶侧,每个护套孔口对180可以位于沿移液管护套120长度的不同位置或距离处。多个芯孔180沿移液管护套长度的布置(无论是不成对的或作为移液管护套孔口对一部分)提供了这样的能力,即不仅确定移液管端头是否存在于护套内,还提供确定插入至护套内的移液管端头的长度(尺寸)的能力。例如,当在护套120内存在较短的移液管端头时,端头可以更改通过芯孔180a导向的光的反射或阻碍,但端头可能过短而不能更改通过芯孔180d导向的光的反射或阻碍。同理,当存在多个护套孔口对时,移液管护套内存在的端头在光从芯孔180b离开时,可以阻碍通过芯孔180a导向的光的通路,但端头可能过短而不能阻碍通过护套孔口对180c、180d或180e、180f的光。因此,在试剂条的制造过程或组装过程中,移液管护套孔口对180能够通过允许快速确定端头的存在或不存在,而提供试剂条的质量控制的优势,其中端头的存在或不存在的快速确定可以手动执行(例如,通过个人的视觉检查),或可易于自动化执行。例如,光学传感器可以用于传输和检查进入或离开孔口对180的第一或第二芯孔的光,以便检查每个单个护套120内移液管端头的存在或不存在(以及,例如长度)。
除了提供质量控制的优势外,芯孔180还可以促进试剂条100的制作。具体地,诸如通过注塑成型的移液管护套120的长且相对窄的护套的制作提出了极大的挑战。移液管护套通常是具有低拔模角/拔模斜度(draft angle)的长而窄形状的导管。长的中心销在例如制成试剂条的热塑性材料或热固性材料的高压注入下,将趋于移位,其中长的中心销通常用于例如本文所述的移液管端头护套的结构的注塑成型。不管芯孔180是成对存在还是作为护套孔口对的一部分,芯孔180的存在能够使通过模塑行为(mold action)产生的稳定销的使用用于稳定移液管护套120模塑所用的长的中心销。因此,芯孔180使得通过注塑成型来制作邻接的移液管护套可行,从而简化并降低制作成本。
在一些实施例中,试剂条包括具有相同长度的移液管护套。在一些实施例中,试剂条可以包括具有不同长度的移液管护套。例如,如图2所示,试剂条100可以包括具有第一长度230的一个或多个移液管护套140,以及具有第二长度240的一个或多个移液管护套240,如图所示,如2A中所示。因此,具有第一较长长度230的移液管护套能够容纳比具有第二较短长度240的移液管护套更长的移液管端头。如上面讨论的,在一些实施例中,移液管护套能够包括一个或多个不成对的芯孔180,或作为移液管护套孔口对呈现的芯孔。然而,在一些实施例中,移液管护套不包括任何芯孔180。在一些实施例中,例如,提供了试剂条,其中试剂条包括具有第一较长长度且沿护套的较长长度具有移液管护套孔口对的一个或多个移液管护套;以及具有第二较短长度且无芯孔或移液管护套孔口对的一个或多个移液管护套。然而,在一些实施例中,较长和较短移液管护套均可以包括至少一个不成对芯孔180,或至少一个移液管护套孔口对。在一些实施例中,较长移液管护套相比于较短移液管护套能够包括更多的不成对芯孔180或移液管护套孔口对。举例来说,较短移液管护套可以包含一个或更多芯孔180,或者一个或两个移液管护套孔口对,而较长移液管护套可以包含三个或四个不成对芯孔180,或三个或四个移液管护套孔口对。
如图3所示,移液管护套120在其基底处闭合,这样为收集来自使用后的移液管端头的任何液体或液滴提供空间。因为个体移液管护套大体上例如通过壁体分开。
如上所述,本文所公开的试剂条优选包括一个或多个接收器150。试剂条的接收器150可以被配置成用于接收分别包含足量的一种或多种试剂的试剂管,该试剂用于制备和/或处理生物和/或环境样品。在一些实施例中,试剂可以是固体形式,例如冻干的形式,用于实施样品制备和/或处理,例如,将核酸与样品分离以形成与保持器有关联的适于核酸检测(“NAT”)的样品。在一些实施例中,试剂可以是液体形式。
一个或多个接收器150可以是相同尺寸和形状,或可以是彼此不同的尺寸和形状。示出的接收器150具有开放的底部,但不局限于该拓扑结构,并且与条状物110的上侧内的入口220不同的是,接收器150可以是闭合的。优选地,接收器150被配置成接收实验室分析领域常用的容器、导管或管,或被适当配置成与本文的保持器一起使用的容器。因此,与条状物110并非一体化形成的试剂管160可以与试剂条分开存储,并且只是在使用前被卡入。这是有利的,因为不同的试剂(例如,核酸提取与PCR试剂)可能需要不同的存储条件。例如,冻干试剂可以是对湿气敏感的,并且需要不同的存储条件,即,例如裂解缓冲液。根据使用者想要对样品所执行的不同类型的制备/处理,因为包含了不同试剂的管可被装载至试剂条100中,所以试剂管的卡入式设计提供了多功能性。
本文所公开的条状物可以包括前缘190。前缘190可以被配置成有利于用户的处理。前缘190还可以被配置成促进试剂条100适当地插入和/或定位在例如自动化制备和处理装置内。前缘190可以包括某些识别特征,如颜色、条码、RFID等,以有利于识别和/或跟踪各个试剂条100。
在一些实施例中,试剂条100包括配准构件,诸如机械键250。通常,此种键是条状物110的一部分,例如,前缘190的一部分等。机械键确保了保持器被例如设备的支撑架或接收台内的互补构件接收,所述设备控制保持器内试剂的移液操作。机械键250一般是与接收设备中的对应切口或凸起匹配的特定形状的切口。因此,试剂条100可以包括机械键250,所述机械键包括条状物110的一端上的一对长方形切口。如图所示的该结构额外地提供了突出部,通过该突出部,使用者可以在将保持器插入支架或另一个设备以及从中移出时获得适当的抓握。本领域技术人员将明白机械键250结构的位置可以与本文所提供的附图所示的不同。例如,机械键250可以位于条状物110的另一端而不是前缘190。在一些实施例中,键250是便于保持器插入支架的成角度的切口,并且在靠近被配置成接收保持器的凹入区域中的互补的成角度切口时,确保了其中的良好配准。当然,机械键的其它变型与本文的描述一致:例如,弯曲切口、或槽口或凸起的各种组合都将有利于保持器的紧固配准。
在一些实施例中,该试剂条可以包括贴至条状物100的标识。标识可以是标签,例如可写标签、条形码、二维条形码或RFID标签。该标识符的目的可以是例如用于快速地展示保持器内所存在的是何种试剂组合,因此,想要何种类型的样品制备协议。标识还可以指示保持器所作出的批次,为了质量控制和保持记录的目的。标识还可以允许使用者将特定的保持器与特定样品匹配。
如上所述,诸如含有冻干试剂的试剂管140、160在无需塑料衬里层的情况下,可以通过诸如铝箔的金属箔密封其顶部,如本文进一步描述的。包含试剂的试剂管160可以被设置为单独的管,或包括完全分开的导管的多个管,其中例如导管经由连接器邻接在一起。例如,在一些实施例中,可共同提供不止一个试剂管160(例如,两个、三个、四个、五个、六个、七个、八个、九个、十个或更多),其中试剂管共同卡入邻近接收器150的适当位置。举例来说,含有专门用于特定的NAT检测(例如,包含特定的、冻干扩增引物和/或探针和/或控制核酸)的试剂的多个试剂管160可以邻接在一起,并且易于卡入被配置成接收邻接在一起的多个分开的试剂管的条状物110中。在其它实施例中,接收器被配置为使得试剂管160可以被独立插入每个接收器150内。
含有不同试剂的一体化试剂管140和/或卡入式试剂管160可以具有不同的颜色,或用不同颜色编码以易于被使用者识别。例如,颜色编码的一体化试剂管140可以用于区分不同类型的组合试剂条,例如,该组合试剂条可以在不同的样品制备中使用。在卡入式试剂管160的情况下,颜色编码的管可以用于区分不同于彼此的试剂。举例来说,在用于DNA分离和生成PCR准备样本的组合试剂条的情况下,不同的颜色编码的试剂管160可以用来区分与不同NAT一起使用的管,例如不同NAT包含不同的引物对、探针等。例如,试剂管160可以由诸如有色塑料的不同颜色的材料制成,或在其上可以具有某种识别标签,诸如颜色条或点。试剂管160还可以具有印制在侧面上的标签,和/或可以具有标识符,诸如顶部上的密封层上的条形码。在一些实施例中,处理130和/或试剂管140、160可以是半透明的。
示出的试剂条100配有废物室200,其具有在条状物110上侧中的废物入口孔口210。废物室200是可选的,在存在废物室的实施例中,废物室200被配置成接收废弃的液体试剂。在不存在废物室的其它实施例中,废弃的液体试剂可以被转移到保持器外部的位置和在保持器外部的位置处被处理掉,保持器外部的位置诸如,例如包含正被分析含量的原始样品的试样管。所示的废物室200为包括另外两个或更多试剂管140的组件的一部分。将理解的是,做出此种布置是为了例如便于制造;废物室200的其它位置是可能的,如实施例中废物室200与试剂管140邻近,但除了经由条状物110并不连接到试剂管。
保持器通常使得条状物110、移液管护套120、处理管130、两个或多个试剂管140和废液室(如果存在)由单件制成,由诸如聚丙烯的材料制成。如以上其他地方所述,本文所公开的实施例的设计有利地促进组合试剂条由例如注塑成型制造。
图1G和图2C示出试剂条100的下侧320。如图2C所示,下侧320可以包括提供稳定性和灵活性的支柱300。
图1H示出了包含在一个移液管护套120中的移液管端头360的剖视图。
虽然本文所提供的附图示出的条状物被配置使得一个或多个移液管护套、一个或更多个接收器以及处理管和试剂管的各个孔口都相对于彼此直线布置(即,它们的中点位于相同轴线上),但是本领域技术人员将明白,本文保持器不局限于接收器、废物室、处理管、移液管护套以及试剂管的特定配置。例如,一些实施例提供例如,具有交错孔口的较短试剂条,其中一些试剂管、处理管或移液管端头孔口占据“离轴”位置。如图1至图3所示,各种接收器等也并不需要占据相对于彼此的相同位置,其中处理管被设置为大致靠近保持器的中间,液体试剂被存储在安装在处理管一侧上的接收器内,以及保持固体试剂的接收器被安装在处理管另一侧上。因此,在图1-3中,处理管在条状物的一端上,而(多个)移液管护套在其另一端上,在内部位置中邻近废物室和两个或多个试剂管。其他的设置也是可能的,诸如将处理管安装在保持器的一端上,将处理管安装在邻近移液器端头和移液管端头护套处(如本文进一步所述),以及将废物管安装在邻近处理管处。将理解的是,试剂条的不同部分的可替代配置仅产生形式的变化,并且可以被纳入所述设备的其它变型中,包括但不局限于样品的自动制备和处理的可替代指令集。
处理管130也可以是卡入式管,而不是一体化单件的一部分。处理管130可以用于样品制备期间发生的各种混合和反应过程。例如,当可提取核酸时,能够在处理管130中发生细胞裂解。然后,处理管130有利地定位在这样的位置,即整体上使得涉及将液体转移至处理管130的移液管头部移动操作最小的位置。
试剂管140通常被配置成容纳各种液体试剂。例如,在一些实施例中,试剂条可以包括三个试剂管,其中各试剂管均被提供有样品洗涤缓冲液、核酸释放缓冲液、核酸中和缓冲液,例如,以便为NAT检测纯化核酸。
可以用薄片结构400密封保持液体或液体试剂的试剂管140。薄片结构可以包括热密封层、诸如聚丙烯层的塑料层以及诸如铝箔的金属层,其中热密封层邻近一个或多个试剂管140。包含液体试剂的接收器的薄片中所使用的额外塑料薄膜通常是为了防止液体接触铝。
层结构不同的薄片结构400的示例性实施例描述在例如美国专利申请序列号2009/0129978中,该申请通过引用并入本文。在一些实施例中,薄片结构400的热密封层可以由例如漆或具有低熔点的其它聚合物制成,并在被如此施加时位于试剂条100的顶部,如图5A所示。薄片结构400可以包括由聚丙烯制成的热密封层410顶部上的塑料层420,其厚度范围为10-50微米。薄片结构400还可以包括塑料层顶部上的金属层,金属层包括通过粘着剂层430结合到塑料层420的一层铝箔440。可替换地,金属层可以是蒸发或溅射到恰好在塑料层上位置的一层金属,如图5B所示。
本文所部署的薄片更易于长期储存,因为保持器包括存在密封的冻干试剂以及接近密封的液体,这通常难以实现。
在一个实施例中,试剂管顶部具有倾斜边缘,使得在铝箔被热结合到顶部时,塑料熔化物不会延伸超出管的边沿。这是有利的,因为,如果塑料熔化物减少了管的内径,则在操作期间会对移液管端头造成干扰。在其它实施例中,凸起的扁平部260有利于薄片400的施加和移除。凸起的表面260是保持器的可选结构,其中凸起的表面位于连接构件的上侧上并围绕入口孔口至试剂管,并且可选地至废物室。
液体用移液管吸出的方式使得穿刺箔片的移液管端头裂开而不在移液管端头周围形成密封。在移液期间围绕端头的这种密封将是不利的,因为一定量的空气流对于移液操作是期望的。在该实例中,不形成密封,因为薄片结构400使被穿刺的箔片留在被穿刺时最初采用的位置。图4中的上部五个图解示出从用本文进一步所述的薄片密封的试剂管中移出试剂。在A处,移液管端头大约放置在包含试剂270的试剂管140上方中心处。在B处,移液管端头降低,通常可控制地降低到试剂管中,并且这样做时穿刺箔片280。该区域的分解图示出被穿刺的薄片的边缘,该边缘在穿过试剂管的移液管端头的最宽部分处与移液管端头接触。在C处,移液管端头稍微撤回,保持端头处于大量试剂270内。分解图示出被穿刺的箔片保持其被穿刺且移液管端头在试剂管内下降到其最深位置时所采用的配置。在D处,移液管端头吸取试剂270,可能改变其高度。在E处,移液管端头从试剂管中被完全取出。
各种管和室的材料可以被配置为具有至少内表面平滑性和表面涂层,从而减少核酸以及其他大分子粘着其上。核酸的粘着由于降低的敏感性是不希望的,而降低的敏感性很可能导致保持器表面上未被捕获的核酸的后续检测和分析。处理管也可以具有较低的粘着表面,并且允许磁珠在内壁轻易地上下滑动而不将其粘着。此外,处理管具有能够降低流体粘滞并因此降低核酸和其他分子粘着的疏水性表面涂层。本文所公开的试剂条能够由许多不同的聚合物制造,不同聚合物包括所有热塑性塑料、一些热固性塑料以及弹性体。优选地,材料适于注塑成型。本文所公开的条状物制造中有用的聚合物的非限制性示例包括例如环氧树脂和酚醛聚合物、尼龙、聚苯乙烯、聚苯乙烯聚合物等。优选地,试剂条由诸如聚丙烯的塑料制成,并且具有刚性尺寸,使得试剂条在其自身重量下不会明显下垂或弯曲,并在常规处理和运输期间也不会轻易变形,因此将不允许试剂从中漏出。
还应与本文说明书一致考虑的是保持器可以额外被配置为接收诸如试样管中的样品。因此,在本文其他地方所描述的实施例中,支架以这样的方式接收若干试样管和若干相应的保持器,即样品管和保持器可以彼此单独地和独立地被装载。然而,在其它实施例中,保持器可以被配置为也接收例如试样管内的样品。因此,互补支架被配置为接收若干保持器,其中每个保持器具有样品以及试剂和其他物品。在此种实施例中,保持器被配置为使得样品可进入样品鉴定检验器。
套盒
本文所述的试剂条可以作为套盒提供。例如,单个试剂条可以被包装在一起或单独地包装在密封袋内,以减少空气和湿气进入保持器内与试剂接触的机会。此种密封袋可以含有本文所述的一个或多个保持器,例如2、4、6、8、10、12、16、20或24个保持器。
保持器还可以作为套盒的一部分被提供,用于进行样品制备,其中套盒包括第一袋状物和第二袋状物,第一袋状物含有本文所述的一个或多个保持器,每个保持器配有用于例如溶解、洗涤以及释放的液体试剂,第二袋状物内部具有惰性气氛和含有冻干的PCR试剂的一个或多个试剂管。此种套盒还可以被配置成提供多个样品的分析,并含有足够的PCR试剂(或诸如用于RT-PCR、转录介导的扩增、链置换扩增、NASBA、解旋酶依赖扩增的其它扩增试剂,以及本领域普通技术人员熟悉的其他扩增试剂以及本文描述的其他扩增试剂)来处理此类样品,以及含有若干单个保持器,诸如2、4、6、8、10、12、16、20或24个保持器。

检测所述光是否在穿过所述顶部移液管护套孔口对的所述第二芯孔时受阻;以及
检测所述光是否在穿过所述底部移液管护套孔口对的所述第二芯孔时受阻,
其中所述光穿过所述顶部移液管护套孔口对的所述第二芯孔受阻以及所述光穿过所述底部移液管护套孔口对的第二芯孔指示了所述第一移液管护套内的所述移液管端头在被插入至所述第一移液管护套时具有没有向下延伸至所述底部移液管护套孔口对的长度。
19.一种检测组合试剂条的移液管护套内的移液管端头的存在或不存在的方法,其包括:
提供所述组合试剂条,所述组合试剂条包括:
具有顶侧和底侧的条状物,其包括:
包括相对侧的第一和第二移液管护套,所述第一和第二移液管护套分别包括第一和第二移液管端头孔口,所述第一和第二移液管端头孔口每个包括所述条状物的顶侧上的独立开口,并且其中所述第一和第二移液管端头孔口被配置成将第一和第二移液管端头分别插入所述第一和第二移液管护套,其中借助于所述条状物内所存在的各移液管端头孔口,各移液管端头可以被插入至各移液管护套中,并且其中每个所述第一和第二移液管护套被配置成通过大体上包围各移液管端头分别大体上包围第一和第二移液管端头的长度,其中所述第一和第二移液管护套防止每个移液管端头与其他移液管端头之间接触,
其中所述第一移液管护套包括第一芯孔,所述第一芯孔延伸穿过所述第一移液管护套的侧壁,
处理管;以及
接收器,其包括穿过所述试剂条的开口,其中所述接收器被配置成接收试剂管;
提供穿过所述第一芯孔进入所述第一移液管护套的光束,以及
将所述光束的反射或阻碍确定为指示存在或不存在移液管端头,其中所述移液管端头在所述第一移液管护套内延伸至从所述第一移液管端头孔口到所述第一芯孔的距离。
20.根据权利要求19所述的方法,其中多个芯孔沿所述移液管护套的长度的布置不仅提供确定护套内是否存在移液管端头的能力,还进一步提供确定插入在所述护套内的所述移液管尖端的长度的能力。
21.一种确定组合试剂条的移液管护套内的移液管端头的长度的方法,包括:
提供组合试剂条,其包括:
具有顶侧和底侧的条状物,其包括:
处理管;以及
接收器,其包括穿过所述试剂条的开口,其中所述接收器被配置成接收试剂管;
第一和第二移液管护套,其包括:
第一和第二移液管端头孔口,其每个分别包括所述条状物的顶侧上的独立开口,并且其中所述第一和第二移液管端头孔口被配置成将第一和第二移液管端头分别插入所述第一和第二移液管护套内,并且其中所述第一和第二移液管护套的每个被配置成分别大体上包围所述第一和第二移液管端头的长度;
所述第一移液管护套内的顶部芯孔和底部芯孔,所述顶部和底部芯孔中的每个延伸穿过所述第一移液管护套的侧壁,其中所述顶部芯孔比所述底部芯孔位于更接近所述第一移液管端头孔口处,其中所述顶部芯孔和所述底部芯孔可以用于或者通过目视检查手动地或者通过光学传感器自动地确定在所述第一移液管护套内存在或不存在移液管端头;
确定移液管端头在所述第一移液管护套内是否从所述第一移液管端头孔口延伸至所述顶部芯孔的距离;以及
确定所述移液管端头在所述第一移液管护套内是否从所述第一移液管端头孔口延伸至所述底部芯孔的距离。
22.根据权利要求21的所述方法,其中所述确定包括通过所述顶部芯孔和所述底部芯孔目视检查所述第一移液管护套的内部。
23.根据权利要求21的所述方法,其中所述确定包括:
提供通过所述顶部芯孔的光束;
提供通过所述底部芯孔的光束;
将所述第一和第二光束的反射或阻碍确定为指示存在或不存在移液管端头,其中所述移液管端头在所述第一移液管护套内分别从所述第一移液管端头孔口延伸至所述顶部芯孔和所述底部芯孔的距离。
24.根据权利要求21的所述方法,其中确定移液管端头是否在所述第一移液管护套内从所述第一移液管端头孔口延伸至所述顶部芯孔包括:
提供通过所述顶部芯孔的光束;和
将所述光束的反射或阻碍确定为指示存在或不存在移液管端头,其中所述移液管端头在所述第一移液管护套内从所述第一移液管端头孔口延伸至所述顶部芯孔。
25.根据权利要求21的所述方法,其中确定移液管端头是否在所述第一移液管护套内从所述第一移液管端头孔口延伸至所述底部芯孔包括:
提供通过所述底部芯孔的光束;和
将所述光束的反射或阻碍确定为指示存在或不存在移液管端头,其中所述移液管端头在所述第一移液管护套内从所述第一移液管端头孔口延伸至所述底部芯孔。
26.一种组合试剂条,其包括:
具有顶侧和底侧的条状物,其包括:
包括相对侧的第一和第二移液管护套,所述第一和第二移液管护套分别包括第一和第二移液管端头孔口,所述第一和第二移液管端头孔口每个包括所述条状物的顶侧上的独立开口,并且其中所述第一和第二移液管端头孔口被配置成将第一和第二移液管端头分别插入所述第一和第二移液管护套,其中借助于所述条状物内所存在的各移液管端头孔口,各移液管端头可以被插入至各移液管护套中,并且其中每个所述第一和第二移液管护套被配置成通过大体上包围各移液管端头分别大体上包围第一和第二移液管端头的长度,其中所述第一和第二移液管护套防止每个移液管端头与其他移液管端头之间接触,
所述第一移液管护套内的顶部芯孔和底部芯孔,所述顶部和底部芯孔中的每个延伸穿过所述第一移液管护套的侧壁,其中所述顶部芯孔比所述底部芯孔位于更接近所述第一移液管端头孔口处,其中所述顶部芯孔和所述底部芯孔可以用于或者通过目视检查手动地或者通过光学传感器自动地确定在所述第一移液管护套内存在或不存在移液管端头,
处理管;以及
接收器,其包括穿过所述试剂条的开口,其中所述接收器被配置成接收试剂管。
27.根据权利要求26所述的组合试剂条,其中所述第一移液管护套包括多个孔口对。
28.根据权利要求26所述的组合试剂条,其中所述第二移液管护套包括延伸通过所述第二移液管护套的侧壁的第一芯孔。
29.根据权利要求26所述的组合试剂条,其中所述第二移液管护套不包括芯孔。
30.根据权利要求26所述的组合试剂条,其中所述第一芯孔的位置在沿所述第一移液管护套的长度的一个距离处,使得当移液管端头插入所述第一移液管护套内时,所述移液管端头延伸越过所述第一移液管护套内的所述第一芯孔。
31.根据权利要求26所述的组合试剂条,其中所述第一移液管护套包括孔口对,所述孔口对包括延伸穿过所述第一移液管护套的所述侧壁的所述第一芯孔和第二芯孔,其中所述第一和第二芯孔位于所述侧壁的相对侧上,并被设置在距所述第一移液管端头孔口沿所述第一移液管护套的长度的相同距离处。
32.根据权利要求26所述的组合试剂条,其中所述第二移液管护套包括移液管护套孔口对,所述孔口对包括延伸穿过所述第二移液管护套的侧壁的第一和第二芯孔,其中所述第一和第二芯孔位于所述侧壁的相对侧上并且被设置在距所述第二移液管端头孔口沿所述第二移液管护套的长度的相同距离处。
33.根据权利要求26所述的组合试剂条,其中所述第一移液管护套和所述第二移液管护套各自包括孔口对,所述孔口对包括延伸穿过所述移液管护套的所述侧壁的第一芯孔和第二芯孔,其中所述第一和第二芯孔位于所述侧壁的相对侧上,并被设置在距所述移液管端头孔口沿所述移液管护套的长度的相同距离处。
34.根据权利要求26所述的组合试剂条,其中光学传感器可以用于传输和检查进入或离开孔口对的第一或第二芯孔的光,以便检查每个单个移液管护套内移液管端头的存在或不存在以及长度。
