UK Finalist Gallery
Children across the UK designed a Google logo around the theme of “I love football” for Google's Doodle 4 Google competition. The UK’s public then voted for their favourite doodle of the finalists.
We congratulate Daniel Joel, aged 14 from Wiltshire, on winning the local competition in the UK. Along with being presented on the Google UK homepage, Daniel Joel’s doodle will participate in the global competition for a chance to appear on Google’s homepage internationally.

It's not about winning
I love football because it's a game which anyone can do. Sure there's injuries here and there, but it all pays off after a long fun game. It's not about winning, it's about having fun and enjoying.

The Passion
My doodle shows my passion for all that football is, saving goals, scoring them, supporting your team – whatever the weather and when that final whistle blows, winning the trophy.

Shooting for Victory
I love football because people from all over the World cooperate together to achieve victory. I also love football because it is an active game which helps improve foot-eye coordination and reflexes in order to be like the footballers in my doodle.

Football
I love football because there are many different teams that people support. They wave flags to show what they love about football. Sometimes the flags have their names on them. Football is one of the best sports.

Team spirit and good sportsmanship towards the opposing team. My doodle shows how good sportsmanship is, even long ago (that's why it's grayscale).
