“Google Conversion Professionals” is a company level accreditation for tool-agnostic business consultants who package, sell and deliver conversion optimisation services to clients of any size in any industry. If this is what your company does, consider becoming a Google Conversion Professional (GCP), to help your clients boost AdWords ROI and website conversion rates.

*Please note this programme is currently only open to consultancies which operate in the UK, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands or Turkey.

Application Process & Requirements

If you're interested in joining, please email us with a detailed application document explaining how you meet all of the following criteria. Your application should be submitted in a PDF or Word attachment clearly detailing each of the criteria mentioned below. Each item in the criteria below must be addressed for an application to be reviewed.

  • You must be qualified as a Google Analytics Authorized Consultant (GAAC).
  • You must be qualified as a Website Optimizer Authorized Consultant (WOAC) OR be an expert in one or more leading website testing tools. If you are not a WOAC, you must provide case studies outlining 3 verifiable and successful experiments with 3 different referenceable clients, using Google Website Optimiser or another leading website usability tool.   • You must have at least 3 Google Advertising Professional qualified employees.
  • You must have at least 3 Google Analytics IQ qualified employees.
  • Please provide 1 externally publishable case study detailing the business impact that you had on a client who has benefited from your conversion services.
  • Have the ability to package and sell your conversion services in an effective way. Please send us a copy of your standard sales deck.
  • [Preferred] Be qualified in at least 1 other leading analytics or testing package.

Upon progression of your application, Google may ask you to take part in an onsite interview. During this interview, you will have an opportunity to demonstrate your ability to engage CXO level executives and convince them of the value of your conversion related services.

You may not refer to yourself as a Google Conversion Professional (GCP) and may not use the GCP logo until you have agreed online to the Google Conversion Professional Program Terms and Google has approved your application via email.

Either Google or you may terminate your GCP status at any time and for any reason. Factors that may cause Google to do so include, but are not limited to:

  • Failure to meet any of the criteria above.
  • Poor feedback on your work from clients.
  • Continued failure to respond to email or phone communication from Google.

Ongoing Requirements

  • You must provide 1 publishable case study per quarter based on your conversion related services.
  • You must submit a quarterly report of representative customer engagements in a format to be determined by Google.

Team Structure

Companies with different backgrounds can offer conversion improvement services, from web designers to SEM agencies. Typically, the team for delivering conversion improvement projects comprises:

  • Web developer with strong javascript knowledge and experience in implementing Google Analytics, Website Optimizer and other such packages.
  • Analyst who can interpret Google Analytics and Website Optimizer data (and preferably data from 1 or 2 other analytics / testing tools)
  • Web designer
  • Project manager
  • Business / strategy consultant
