The role: Legal Assistant, Employment
Google's legal department is at the center of an information law revolution, and you're at its core. As a Legal Assistant, you are a driving force behind the success of your Legal team, ready to roll up your sleeves to create and improve processes, maintain records, conduct legal research and coordinate communications across the team. As you closely support your team, you may find yourself working with multiple groups within the Legal Department, internal clients across Google, and external parties. You're an independent thinker who isn't afraid to ask questions, and you're organized in a way that never overlooks the details.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, organise and maintain central employment know-how and resources.
- Lead the development of the team's intranet sites.
- Serve as a liaison between the employment team, other teams within Google, and external counsel in multiple jurisdictions.
- Provide advisory support and support on adhoc HR projects as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BSc/LLB degree. In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest and experience in using information technology to improve work efficiency.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple project under deadline pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, but ask questions when appropriate.
