marijuana isnt a cool drug its just somthing people do and its not bad for you its acctually used in medicines and clothing like hemp so uhmm yeah and about the whole COCAINE or BEER thing you do realize people can smoke marijuana that doesnt mean they do cocaine and drink alcahol...jeeez dont comment on things if you have something bad to say kayy:)

For a nation that believes in God as the creator of all living things how can it be denied that marijuana is God's gift to mankind? This should be a good enough argument for the supreme court. Add in the right to freedom and happiness as enshrined in the constitution and you have another great argument for there can be no doubt that marijuana makes people happy and even if you don't believe that you don't have the right to decide what makes people happy-they have the right to decide that for themselves. if you have the right to obtain an altered state of consciousness with alcohol then you have to have the right to attain that state with marijuana otherwise you are being discriminated against and that is illegal! Somebody share these thoughts with a lawyer please.

I have fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, MARIJUANA has shown that it RELIEVES pain in both illnesses. I live in Texas and it will be a cold day in hell before the government allows this medicine to become legal, especially for us, where it would help so much! In the meantime we are forced to have CHEMICAL pain management, THIS IS NOT RIGHT!

We need to make the polititions realize that they work for us and if US want to legalize pot, then that is what should be done. It seems that anytime a medicine helps control pain AND make you feel a little happy, then that is not good for the government. They want you to feel like shit. I cannot believe what the government spent, or should I say wasted on apprehending Tommy Chong just because he sold some seeds online. Those millions could have been used to feed alot of people in this downward trodding country. I am so sick of seeing the polititions spending my money on bullshit, wasting it on THEIR so-called war on drugs that I could just puke. Legalize pot, tax it, and use the proceeds to fight coke and herion additiions. The waste on prosecuting and putting the Potters in jail is absolutely pathetic and the elected ones should collectively be embarrased.

5000 yrs of recorded medicinal use with no deaths attributed to it's use...Studies that show curative properties against several forms of cancer,Federal studies just completed that confirm the findings. All the proof both historical and new that shows Cannabis to be a very usefull plant and yet we still vilify users,jail them,persecute them for using an herb proven to give relief and healing....America needs to open it's eyes..... I'm a 57 yrs old disabled vet,with severe debilitating injuries,yet cannabis use has allowed me to work,hold down a good job and function in the workplace on a near equal footing with my peers....Pretty good for a double Laminectomy failure,2 inches of spinal colapse a colostomy and resection and mesh implants.....Thank GOD I live in Oregon.... Iam 54 years old and have been smoking since I was 16, I have always found that no matter what happened during my day, to be able to relax at home after a tough day with a nice joint was the best thing I have ever experianced. Take a look at Holland, I was married to a Dutch girl and spent some time in the Netherlands. What a smart idea to legalize the "soft" drugs such as weed and hash. The goverment taxes and controls the sale of these drugs and uses the money to combat the serious problems of cocaine and heroin addiction, therefore releiving the terrible cost of fighting that problem from it"s people. How wise !!!They have also experianced a drop in crime. Can"t we see the benifits of legalizing grass ? Someday, in the meantime I will be smoking and hoping!!! PEACE & LOVE, MICHAEL

As I was reading through the post I came across one that said only Stoner's read these post. Well if your for the legalization of Marijuana you better hope only Stoner's are reading. Most of the comments posted here would give the anti-smoking crowd a good argument. To start with why would you call yourself a Stoner in a public forum, it is a negative connotation. One poster rights that the cotton & paper industries have fought to keep it illegal, they are probably right, do not make there fight easier. State facts that may not be obvious to the non-smoker. State facts that are probably obvious but state them in a way to persuade the non-smoker to a sympathetic view. If you are over 70 years of age, you probably have a negative view of marijuana, from the smear campaigns of your youth. Those life long views are hard to change, feel young again, think for yourself. Does it make sense to outlaw a recreational drug that could never impair you to the extent of Alcohol, yet Alcohol is legal, NO. Does it make sense to outlaw a plant that can be grown anywhere, how would you enforce the non-production, you would and have failed miserably. Does loss of life not enter your mind, when you think about legalization of Marijuana. I do not have an accurate number of deaths caused by the murdering Cartels of Mexico, because no one does. It is in the tens of thousands annually, most of these people are innocents. The tax loss on the legal sale is not the number one reason for this nation to get it,s head out of the sand, loss of life is. We need to be compassionate to the loss of innocent lives. Not just death but incarceration for possessing the same amount as a pack of cigarettes and losing your rights as a natural born American citizen. These are the things that need to be in your post, so copy this one, keep it for a reference and always respect your fellow human being.
