The new Google themes for the "new look" has a seperate file of images you can use to customize your iGoogle page. In it is Ian Shive Rugged California, only this newer one looks very much like the hills on the south side of Cuesta Grade in San Luis Obispo county. If you select the "new" image of the same name, it will appear as wallpaper on your iGoogle page, but only as long as you don't leave the page by doing a search or otherwise leave. When you return, the image above will appear in it's place. I am hoping a google mod will see this and inform the right people to rename the new theme.

This is a beautiful theme, and reminds me every day of why I love California. I also would agree with Ariana Song, that it would be really cool to know the locations of these pictures.

never guessed it was cali; looks more like wisconsin or minnesota, but its still a beautiful photo. only thing is i wish they had captions right under the pic telling where it was

Someone asked where these places are... It looks like one of them, the hills and oaks, is from Novato,CA. A stretch of Highway 101 between Petaluma and Novato called the Novato Narrows in particular looks similar. Each side of the highway is lined with lush hills and the majestic old oaks. Its gorgeous and I'm happy to say- my daily commute. :)

I love this theme, my only request would be to have the photo names/locations somewhere embedded. I love the landscapes and wish I knew where they were.

I love changing themes & as you know they r very hard to find. These r some of the most beautiful pics/places I have ever seen! Continue the fantastic work, as they always bring daily joy. P.S. 2 the "complainers" who want only one pic. then find another site! 1 that does'nt change & grow up! WHAA!

Is there a way to tell what each theme is a picture of? sometimes they have descriptions in the lower left corner, but other times, its a beautiful scene without any info! How can I plan my trip without knowing where this is?

The pictures in this theme remind me of the California I love. A nice distraction from the Bay Area deluge of late! Although, anyone who got pictures of lightning striking the Golden Gate like I saw from my house the other day would have great material for a theme too. I particularly enjoy the fractal shapes of the live oak picture.

i like the theme..love the pictures and the fact that it changes..dont like the color associations for the rest of the page though..doesnt seem to mesh..but i still think its a thumbs up..also makes me want to go to california !

This is my new favorite iGoogle theme!!!! Very art nouveau meets landscapes... The new book looks interesting too....I think I'll take a peek at it when it's published.....
