I just want to say how much I appreciate this tool. I frequently need to send money to the Philippines. The currency exchange rate information provided is always bang-on! This accuracy allows me to plan confidently before I go to the bank. Plus, since it is on my desktop it is a real time saver. Thanks ever so much!
Joshua - thanks for making a note of this. We found a bug that was causing this error and took care of it. Decimal separators should now be identified correctly based on users' locale. Please let us know if you see any other issues. Dave - please note that you may configure your most used currency pair using the gadget's settings feature. In addition, you may also track a list of 14 common currency pairs on the "Key Rates" screen when you click on the 'charts' link. Regarding the ads; they help us keep up with the hosting and maintenance costs. We never serve ads unless the user interacts with the gadget and we try to make sure that they are as relevant as possible so that you may actually find them useful. Thank you
I am trying to convert 79,200 euros to usd and this program thinks I am trying to convert 79.200 because of the standard european change , to . Bull$hit
Gadget is smothered with google addwords. Mostly just takes up your screen with advertising, couldn't see a way to set it to "watch" currencies of interest, you have to type in a value every time you want to find out what the rate is at. Really badly done gadget compared to some of the others that do this same thing. And most of the others dont try to subject you to advertising on your homepage.
Certainly. You may change default TO and FROM currencies to any pair that you like. To do that, please click on the "edit settings" menu item on the top right corner of the gadget. thank you
Great gadget. Is it possible to change the setting from US dollars to Euros so that you don't have to adjust it each day? It's a pity as otherwise it's very convenient. I don't want to know what the euro equivalent is but the Australian dollar, Thai Baht and Vietnamese dong.
Hi! I like this Gadget. Unfortunately I have a bug when looking at the chart graphs for CNY-EUR rates. I checked it a few days and it seems that only the 1Day and 5Days graphs display correctly. The 3Months, 5Months, 1Year and 5Years Graphs display strange results... Is it a bug?
Hi Warwick - thanks for your comments. You may "swap around" the currency pair by clicking on the "invert" link on the converter. Hope this helps!

Hi Brian, thanks for your using our converter. Gmail gadgets unfortunately do not support user preferences at this time, but Google continues to make updates to its products so that feature may be enabled in the future.
I really like this currency converter, because I use 2 currencies all the time. I use it in gmail, but I have to change the currencies every time, I also have to scroll. Great gadget though.
Really liked the ability to lock my local currency to the default. - Surprising the entire world is not transfixed in the head-lights of the US dollar. And it is doomed to diminish in significance. What I would have liked to see was a "swap around" key. ie currency A to B, toggle B to A.
Hi Jacob - thanks for the suggestion. Linden Dollar is already included on the list; you should be able to select it from the drop down menu. We will look into the others as we consider and work on all feature requests. Thank you
Would it be possible to throw in some virtual currencies as well? Such as the Linden Dollar (Second Life) or one of those other games with real-world-value virtual currency? (I only play SecondLife, but some other examples would be EVE Online and Entropia Universe)
Hello, First of all, thanks for this great stuff! Very usable and minimalistic, preserves screen space. Very good. Now, from the usability point of view, I would love to be able to configure available currency lists to include ONLY the ones selected by me (i.e. I am only interested in USD, Euro, PLN and BP and it would be BRILLIANT if I could configure the gadget to include only those on my dropdown lists, and skip all the rest). Please, please!
Thanks for your comments! In order to add this gadget to another page, please find the "Embed this gadget »" link on the bottom-right corner of this page.. follow that link and then on the next page, enter an appropriate title and click on the "Get the Code" button to get the html code to embed this gadget wherever you like. Cheers
I like it takes minimum space and remember the currency I chose last time so I don't have to pick every single time using it. Would be better if there is no ad. after coversion
You are right, the value is not correct... we will fix this as soon as possible! Thanks for letting us know! It seems our data provider has a problem with the icelandic krona, because it only affects this currency, all other currency data is still reliable/up to date
Icelandic Krona erroreric.h@ukgateway.net - Jan 19, 2009 - Report this comment
This currency converter undervalues the Kronur against the pound and this led me to believe that a hire car was costing £120 instead of £220: quite a jump. This leaves me to believe that the tool either doesn't get updated or is unreliable
Could you please give us more details about your problem? (by email if possible) So we can solve the problem you are having? I personally dont experience problems removing the gadget or converting from or to the thai baht. Thanks in advance!
