I have finally simply deleted this gadget from my homepage. I speak German already, but thought this would be a good refresher. The problem is, unbelievably, that the translations are very often wrong! If there were someone to report this to, I wouldn't hesitate. Unbelievably irresponsible!

If you're on a laptop and add this gadget to you iGoogle page, the Flash player from that "Play recording" button is the single piece of software that will kill you battery the most. Even when it's not doing anything! Even if you don't press it ever! ...the button to play the sound disappears when I first go to iGoogle. I have to expand the app and then resize it back to normal for it to appear. This problem appears to be only in Google Chrome 3.x

Works great for me with a new word each day! The pronunciation has helped me to break my tendency to speak German with a southern twang. Great gadget!

I love getting my German word of the day because it's always a word I never knew before! The only thing I would change would be a way to see the words from previous days, since I sometimes forget them. :)

I use this gadget with Vista Toolbar and Google Home. It's great! Being able to hear the word pronounced is the best part about this gadget. The only improvement I would suggest is that Declan needs to include the German article with any nouns.
