This message: "Events from one or more calendars could not be shown here because you do not have the permission to view them." How do you FIX it ??? Anyone ?? Thank you.

Wont stay in "week" format, keeps reverting to a "month" view. Agenda sometimes shows events, sometimes only shows holidays.

In my google calendar, I can see my events and US Holidays. When I add that calendar to my google sites webpage, all I see are my events. HELP. I need those holidays on my sites calendar.

Be forewarned that it'll lose your calendars as soon as you log out, forcing you to regenerate the HTML from scratch every single time. I get this error every time: "Events from one or more calendars could not be shown here because you do not have the permission to view them." If you only use one calendar, it's great, otherwise... move along.

I figured out how to add multiple calendars. You have to click "add/remove" at the bottom of the gadget and follow the link provided, then tick the calendars you want to add on the left hand side. It's basically a super compact version of your Google calendar. Thanks for this super-useful tool!

Since iGoogle is going away, I'm looking at ProtoPage.com. This is the ONE gadget I find essential for my home page that is missing from ProtoPage. Adapt this for ProtoPage and I'll say goodbye to iGoogle without a tear.

Would be the best calendar, by far, if it was debugged a little. In addition to the bugs mentioned by others here, it often "forgets" your personal calendar. It seems to have no problem with generic things like "US Holidays," but it will lose your personal calendar information frequently and display a message saying that you don't have permission to view it, even though you're logged in to iGoogle, GMail, and other Google services. Logging out and back in doesn't fix it. The only thing I've found that does fix it is re-creating the whole thing from scratch, which is tiresome.

I followed the link to capture the html, but no matter what I select on the screen, or how many times I use the 'update HTML', it never gives me any html to grab. Would love it to be fixed so that I can use the app. Thanks!

Argh! As soon as I got back to iGoogle, the calendar switched to Monday first. I tried redoing the setup, restarting Firefox...It's a good gadget but it's got bugs.

I love this gadget, but as it stands, I can't add my tasks into it. In Gcal, Google Tasks automatically sync and can be toggled with the rest of the calendars. I'd love it if someone could tell me how to add Tasks as well. When I try to set things up, it has my other calendars, just not Tasks.

Doesn't display the day when selected, and there's no way to select which calendars to display, as is shown on the page. Also, when I moved it to a different column all the data was gone and I had to go to the embed page again. Most annoying of all, though, is the "Donate" button at the bottom. Can't live with it, and it's not worth a donation.

I have not been able to edit any of the the settings! And there is no way to stop the time zone from showing on the home page.(I don't need to be reminded of my time zone.)

If all you get is a blank page for the calendar snapshot on iGoogle in Firefox, check your cookie settings under Tools, Options, Privacy. they must be set to accept cookies and to accept cookies form 3rd parties until they expire. Then it should come back into the blank space once you copy the url from helper at step two in the add/remove sequence.

I use both Firefox and Chrome and on Chrome this gadget works great, but on Firefox it just displays a blank box with just the footer (donate, create event, refresh, Add/Remove). I have tried to disable all my plugins and have the same result.

Love this gadget, or I did before it stopped working right. No matter what I do, it won't display the agenda view on my homepage. If that were working again, I would be using it.

This is the best gCal gadget I've found, and I have used it for many months. I like the customization options, the clean display, and how it's tied in nicely to my Google calendar. Ever since I started using it (and getting family members to use it) i have seen the message "Events from one or more calendars could not be shown here because you do not have the permission to view them." This was infrequent, and could be fixed by refreshing the page. Lately every time I log in I see this error, and cannot make it go away by refreshing or Shift Refresh. I have to re-add the calendar URL (the same one each time) to get it to display.

Too inconvenient to add things to your calendar, needs "quick add" option like the other gadget where you simply type in your appointment to add it in. Otherwise, looks good though.

Follow-up to previous post - Not sure why, but I had to set up the calendar gadget again when I opened my igoogle page in Safari (other browsers did not require this). Good news is when I clicked on the Add/Remove link I received a message that I had to set up the calendar again so I followed the instructions and pasted the new html for the frame and its working great in Safari.

I really like this calendar gadget and it works perfectly for me in IE, Firefox and Chrome but does not work at all in Safari (on Windows 7). Can the Safari issue be resolved?
