Synthesis Energy Systems, Inc. is a global energy and gasification technology company that provides products and solutions to the energy and chemical industries. The Company provides technology and equipment in regions where coals and biomass feedstocks can be converted into products through its fluidized bed gasification technology, which is technology is based on the U-GAS process developed by the Gas Technology Institute (GTI). The Company�s principal operating activities are located in China. Its Yima project in Henan Province, China is in its final stages of construction and plant commissioning. It began its gasification activities by obtaining a worldwide license for the U-GAS gasification technology, developed by the GTI. In September 2011, its commercial scale coal gasification plant located in Shandong Province, China, was shut down.
