Heritage Oil Plc (Heritage), formerly Heritage Oil Limited, is an independent oil and gas exploration and production Company. The principal activity of the Company is the exploration, development and production of petroleum and natural gas in Africa, the Middle East and Russia. The Company has properties in Kurdistan Region of Iraq (Kurdistan), Malta, Pakistan, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Tanzania, Mali, Russia and Uganda. Heritage Oil Corporation (HOC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company. In February 2009, Heritage completed the acquisition of two-dimensional (2D) seismic in the Kimbiji and Kisangire licence areas in Tanzania. On April 7, 2009, the Company completed the sale of Eagle Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Heritage, to RAK Petroleum Oman Limited.
