Description

Dolby Laboratories, Inc. develops and delivers products and technologies that are used in the entertainment industry. The Company’s technologies are used in digital versatile disc (DVD), players and personal computer DVD playback software, digital televisions, set top boxes, portable media devices and in a range of consumer electronic products, such as gaming systems and audio/video receivers. Its products are also used by movie theatres and broadcasters worldwide. The Company generates revenue by licensing its technologies to manufacturers of consumer electronics products and media software vendors and by selling its professional products and related services to entertainment content creators, producers and distributors. The Company has licensed its technologies to manufacturers in approximately 25 countries. It sells its products and services in over 85 countries.
