Description

Valmont Industries, Inc. is a global producer of fabricated metal products and a producer of metal and concrete pole and tower structures in the engineered support structures and utilities support structures businesses, and are a global producer of mechanized irrigation systems in the irrigation business. The Company also provide metal coating services, including galvanizing, painting and anodizing in the coatings business. The pole and tower structures support outdoor lighting and traffic control fixtures, electrical transmission lines and related power distribution equipment, wireless communications equipment and highway signs. The mechanized irrigation equipment delivers water, chemical fertilizers and pesticides to agricultural crops. The Company operates in four business segments: engineered support structures, utility support structures, coatings and irrigation. In November 2008, the Company completed the acquisition of Stainton Metal Company Limited.
