Talisman First Venture Capital Trust PLC is a venture capital trust (VCT). The Company�s investment objective is to achieve long-term capital appreciation and generate maintainable levels of income for shareholders, principally through investing the majority of its funds in a diversified portfolio of shares and securities of smaller unquoted United Kingdom companies and in AMI/PLUS quoted companies which meet the criteria for VCT qualifying investments and have strong growth potential and maintaining a qualifying investment level of at least 70% according to VCT regulations. As of March 31, 2012, its AIM/PLUS portfolio sectors included software and computer services, oil and gas, insurance, electricity, leisure and hotels, electronics and electrical equipment, telecommunication services, utilities, chemicals, media and entertainment, engineering and machinery, mining and food producers and processors. Maven Capital Partners UK LLP acts as the Company's investment manager.
