Description
Tate & Lyle PLC is a provider of speciality food ingredients and solutions. The Company and its subsidiary and associated undertakings together with its joint ventures develops, manufactures and markets food and industrial ingredients made from renewable resources. The Company operates in two segments: Speciality Food Ingredients (SFI) and Bulk Ingredients (BI). Each division has its own manufacturing and commercial operations. During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2012, the Company completed its acquisition of G.C.Hahn & Co. (Hahn). On October 12, 2011, the Company completed the sale of its minority holdings in sugar refineries in Egypt and Saudi Arabia relating to the former International Sugar Trading business.
