Sierra Rutile Limited, formerly Titanium Resources Group Limited, is engaged in exploring for, producing and marketing industrial minerals, primarily rutile, in Sierra Leone, West Africa. The Sierra Rutile mine is located in the south-west of Sierra Leone, on low-lying coastal plains about 135km south-east of the capital Freetown and 30kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean. Sierra Rutile holds mining leases over a land area of 580 square kilometers in which separate rutile deposit have been identified. Sierra Rutile mine employs bucket ladder dredges, and conventional mineral processing methods to produce rutile, ilmenite and zircon concentrate. During the year ended December 31, 2011, the Company produced 67,916 tons of rutile, 15,946 tons of ilmenite and 8,496 tons of zircon concentrate. The wholly owned subsidiaries of the Company include Titanium Fields Resources Ltd, Agricultural Resources Group Ltd, Biofuel Resources Group Ltd and SRL Acquisition No.1 Limited.
