Skywest Airlines Ltd is an investment holding company. The Company�s core business is to provide scheduled passenger services within regional Western Australia and Darwin, in the Northern Territory. It also provides both regular and ad hoc charters for customers. The Company Airline operator segment is engaged in the business of capacity airline operator, holder of an Australian capacity air operator�s certificate operating regular passenger transport services, charter services and airfreight operations. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2012 (fiscal 2012), it continued flyin, fly-out services for a number of key Australian resource companies, including BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Chevron/Bechtel, Argyle and others. On June28, 2012, its subsidiary, Skywest Airlines (S) Pte. Ltd. acquired a 100% interest in Capital Lease Australian Portfolio One Pty Ltd. In April 2013, Virgin Australia Holdings Limited acquired 100% of the issued share capital in the Company.
