Rensburg Aim VCT plc is a United Kingdom-based venture capital trust (VCT). The principal activity of the Company during the year under review was the making of long-term equity and loan investments, mainly on AIM. It invests in companies, which are traded on Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange. As of February 29, 2012, it had 34 qualifying companies in the portfolio. It invests in sectors, which include computer, information technology (IT) and communications; support services, oil and gas, automobile and parts; media and entertainment; health, personal care and pharmaceuticals, and beverages, leisure and hotels. The Company has a portfolio of maturing qualifying investments complemented by diversified holding of mid-cap and blue chip United Kingdom equities, together with some fixed interest securities. As of February 29, 2012, the qualifying port comprised 31AIM Company holding three unquoted investments.
