Renew Holdings plc is a United Kingdom-based holding company engaged in engineering services and specialist building. The main activities are carried out in the United Kingdom with some development activities in the United States. The Company has two segments: Engineering Services, which comprises the Company�s engineering activities which are characterized by the use of the Company�s skilled engineering workforce, supplemented by specialist subcontractors where appropriate, in a range of civil, mechanical and electrical engineering applications; and Specialist Building, which comprises the Company�s building activities which are characterized by the use of a supply chain of subcontractors to carry out building works under the control of the Company�s as principal contractor. During the fiscal year ended September 30, 2012, Britannia Construction Ltd, Walter Lilly & Co Ltd, Shepley Engineers Ltd and V.H.E Construction Plc were acquired from subsidiary undertakings at net book value.
