Description
NMC Health plc is a holding company. The Company is an integrated healthcare provider in the United Arab Emirates market. It operates in two segments: healthcare, which includes two divisions: hospitals and day patient medical centers, and pharmacies, and distribution and services, in which it distributes pharmaceutical products, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs), educational supplies, food, cosmetic products, medical and scientific equipment and veterinary products. The Company's hospitals consist of three Joint Commission International accredited specialty hospitals in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Al-Ain and a general hospital in Dubai. In addition, it operates a day patient medical centre in Sharjah. Its healthcare segment also includes a chain of eight pharmacies. As of December 31, 2011, it operated 230 beds and had a network of facilities, including hospitals, a day patient medical centre, pharmacies and distribution facilities across the United Arab Emirates.
