Namakwa Diamonds Limited is a diamond resource company. The Company is engaged in marketing, distribution and selling of diamonds. The Company�s mining division is focused on the Kao Project in Lesotho. The Kao consists of two kimberlite pipes, including the main pipe (19.8 hectors) and a small (3.2 hectors) satellite pipe located 350m north-west of the main pipe. Both pipes are hosted in unweathered basaltic lavas and are Group 1 kimberlites forming part of the Lemphane-Robert belt. Its trading and beneficiation operation provides a platform for the marketing, distribution and sale of its production and contracted production. The Company also has alluvial mining operations in the North West Province of South Africa and a portfolio of exploration and development projects in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa (alluvial) and offshore concessions in Namibia (marine). In August 2011, the Company ceased its Democratic Republic of Congo operations.
