Morgan Advanced Materials PLC, formerly The Morgan Crucible Company plc, designs, manufactures and markets primarily carbon and ceramic components for applications in a range of markets. It operates in four segments: Morgan AM &T, Molten Metal Systems, Technical Ceramics and Thermal Ceramics. The Morgan AM &T Business delivers solutions built from a portfolio of material technologies that includes carbon, silicon carbide, oxide-based ceramics and polymeric composite materials. The Molten Metal Systems Business produces crucibles and foundry consumables. The Technical Ceramics Business is a supplier of industrial products with core products manufactured from advanced materials, including structural ceramic, electro-ceramic and precious metals. The Thermal Ceramics Business provides thermal management solutions for high-temperature applications. On April 8, 2011, the Company acquired additional 10% interest in NP Aerospace, which subsequently increased its interest to 80%.
