Kirkland Lake Gold Inc. (Kirkland Lake) is a gold mining company. The Company owns the Macassa Mine and the 1,450 ton per day Mill, and four contiguous formerly producing gold mining properties, which include Kirkland Lake, Teck-Hughes, Lake Shore and Wright Hargreaves. The Company focuses on expanding gold production from the Main/'04 Break, and a discovery area, the South Mine Complex (SMC). As of April 30, 2012, the Company had four rigs on the property, including 13 underground at the Macassa mine and one on surface at the east end of the camp testing various targets. On February 15, 2011, Kirkland Lake announced drill results from two underground exploration programs on the Company�s wholly owned Macassa Mine property. On May 4, 2011, Kirkland Lake announced a drill hole intersection of 8.16 ounces of gold per ton over 46.7 feet true width in drill hole 53-1685.
