Homeserve plc is engaged in the provision of insured repair solutions and emergency services to the home. The Company is organized into four operating divisions UK Membership, Continental Europe, United States of America and UK Emergency Services. As of March 31, 2009, its subsidiaries include HomeServe Assistance Limited, HomeServe Enterprises Limited, HomeServe International Limited, HomeServe Care Solutions Limited, HomeServe Retail Warranties Limited, HomeServe Warranties Limited and HomeServe Membership Limited. On March 17, 2009, the Company acquired 27,000 household contracts from Endesa Energia S.A. In May 2009, Homeserve plc announced the acquisition of Societe Francaise de Garantie S.A. (SFG), from April Group Dommages Particuliers S.A., part of April Group S.A. In September 2009, the Company announced the sale of its Emergency Services Division (excluding the HomeServe Property Repairs businesses) (the HES Disposal Division).
