Nighthawk Energy plc is a United Kingdom-based company engaged in the production of, exploration for and investment in hydrocarbons in one geographical area, the United States of America. The Company and its subsidiaries are focused principally on the development of the Jolly Ranch shale oil project in Colorado, United States of America. The Company�s projects include shale oil project and the Jolly Ranch Group project. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2012 (fiscal 2012), the Company held a 75% in the Jolly Ranch project. The Jolly Ranch project comprises approximately 385,000 gross acres located in the southeast corner of the prolific oil and gas producing DenverJulesberg Basin. On January 23, 2012, the Company acquired additional 25% interest in, and operatorship of, the Jolly Ranch project. The Company�s subsidiaries include Nighthawk Royalties LLC, Nighthawk Production LLC and OilQuest USA LLC.
