Description
Flybe Group plc is a United Kingdom-based regional airline company. It operates through three divisions: Flybe UK, Flybe Europe and Flybe Aviation Support. Flybe UK division comprises the Company�s scheduled United Kingdom domestic and United Kingdom-Europe passenger operations. Flybe Europe division comprises the European airline businesses, including Flybe Finland. Flybe Aviation Support division comprises the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and Flybe Training Academy businesses supporting Flybe�s UK and Europe divisions and serving third-party customers, including provision of aircraft maintenance and overhauls. As of October 28, 2012, its fleet had 97 aircrafts. On August 18, 2011, Flybe Europe entered into a 60:40 joint venture (JV) relationship with Finland�s flag carrier, Finnair. The JV acquired the regional flying operations of Finnish Commuter Airlines Oy and was branded as Flybe Finland, and also Flybe acquired a 46.3% interest in Finnish Aircraft Maintenance Oy.
