The Company purchases coal, biomass, and carbon allowances from both United Kingdom and international suppliers. Drax Group plc generates around 7% of the United Kingdom’s electricity and trade power in the electricity wholesale market of Great Britain. Some of the Company’s wholly owned subsidiaries include Drax Finance Limited, Drax Group Limited, Drax Intermediate Holdings Limited, Drax Power Limited, and Drax Investments Limited. The principal activities of the subsidiaries are the generation and sale of electricity at the Drax Power Station, Selby, North Yorkshire, and the sale of by-products of the electricity generation process.
