Drax Group plc is the holding company of the Drax group of companies. The Company is engaged in the generation and sale of electricity and by-products of the electricity generation process at Drax Power Station, Selby, North Yorkshire and the sale of electricity to business customers by Haven Power Limited (Haven Power). It and its subsidiaries operate in the electricity generation and supply industry within the United Kingdom. It operates both a generation and a retail business in the United Kingdom electricity market. It generates electricity at Drax Power Station. In retail, it supplies of electricity to retail customers in the small and medium enterprise and industrial and commercial markets. As of December 31, 2011, its output capacity of its six generators was 4,000 megawatts. Its subsidiaries include Drax Finance Limited, Drax GCo Limited, Drax Group Limited, Drax Intermediate Holdings Limited and Drax Holdings Limited.
