Clontarf Energy plc (Clontarf), formerly Persian Gold PLC, is an emerging oil & gas Exploration & Production company focused on Africa and South America. Clontarf of the Ghana Tano 2A Block - a 1,532 kilometer square meter Block, close to four recent discoveries by Tullow Oil plc and Kosmos. The two exploration Blocks, Lote 183 and Lote 188, are in key producing areas in the Maranon and Ucayali basins. Clontarf is active in Bolivia through Petrolex SA, a wholly owned subsidiary. It also has a potential lithium concession in Bolivia in cooperation with the state. Block 183 is almost 400,000 hectares in size and is located along the western central part of the Maranon basin. Clontarf holds a 30% interest in the Monteagudo Field in Central Bolivia. The Company's subsidiaries include, Persian Gold Limited, Talaye Zard Pars, Talaye Pars Yard and Pan Andean Resources Limited. On April 6, 2011 the Company acquired the total issued share capital of Hydrocarbon Exploration plc.
