The Company leases a number of trading properties under operating leases. On October 6, 2011, the Company acquired Shorters Club Limited. As of March 30, 2012, it served approximately 338,000 catering businesses and 73,000 retailers in the United Kingdom. It also serves over 10,000 trade customers in India. Its subsidiaries include Booker Limited, Booker direct Limited, Ritter-Courivaud Limited and Giant Topco Limited. In February 2012, it launched Lichfields Porridge Oats in original and golden syrup flavors. In July 2012, the Company acquired Makro UK.
