JSC Bank of Georgia (the Bank) provides banking, leasing, insurance, brokerage and wealth management services to corporate and individual customers. It accepts deposits from the public and extends credit, transfers payments in Georgia and international and exchanges currencies. As of 31 December 2011, the Bank served approximately 900,000 corporate and retail clients. As of December 31, 2011, the Bank operated 158 branches and 426 automated teller machines (ATMs). The Bank�s activities are organized into three main business segments: strategic, synergistic and non-core businesses. Strategic businesses consist of retail and corporate banking, as well as wealth management. Synergistic businesses consists of insurance and healthcare through affordable housing and domestic brokerage. Non-core businesses include banking operations in Belarus. In November 2011, it closed the Ukranian arm of its brokerage operation, BG Capital.
