Aurelian Oil & Gas PLC (Aurelian) is an upstream oil and gas exploration and production company focused on Central Europe. Its assets are located in Central Europe in Poland, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria. It focuses its exploration, appraisal and development activities on two areas: the Southern Permian Basin and the Carpathian Thrust Fold Belt. The East Karpaty licenses cover an area of approximately 1,043 square kilometers. The West Karpaty and Poreba group of licenses cover an area of approximately 2,560 square kilometers and are adjacent to the East Karpaty licenses in southern Poland. Aurelian has an interest in the Svidnik, Medzilaborce and Snina blocks, in the north-east region of Slovakia. During the year ended December 31, 2011, it acquired an additional 10% interest in Cybinka and Torzym concessions taking its interest to 45%. On June 28, 2011, Aurelian sold Aurelian Oil & Gas (Romania) S.R.L., which included the Bilca Gas Production Asset and the Suceava and Bacau blocks.
