Description

Aberforth Smaller Companies Trust plc (ASCoT) is an investment trust. The objective of ASCoT is to achieve a net asset value total return (with dividends reinvested) greater than on the Numis Smaller Companies Index (excluding Investment Companies) over the long term. The Company does not invest in any unquoted securities or securities issue by investment trusts or investment companies. It invest in sectors, such as oil and gas, basic materials, industrials, consumer goods, health care, consumer services, telecommunications, utilities, financials and technology. The Company provides investment management, administration and company secretarial services to the Company. As of December 31, 2012, the Company�s portfolio included RPC Group, Bodycote, Galliford Try, e2v technologies, CSR, JD Sports Fashion, Northgate, Spirit Pub Company, St. Modwen Properties and Howden Joinery Group.
