Altona Energy Plc is a United Kingdom-based company. The Company, along with its subsidiaries, is engaged in the evaluation of the development of an integrated coal-to-liquid (CTL) plant and co-generation power facility, supported by an open-cut coal mine at its Arckaringa Project in South Australia. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2010 (fiscal 2010), the Company was engaged in the commercialization of its business venture, which is an integrated mine and coal to liquids (CTL) plant with a co-generation power facility utilizing the coal resources within the Company�s tenements in the Arckaringa Basin of South Australia - the Project. The Project base case covers a 10 million tone per annum open cut mine, which is based on the Wintinna coal deposit. The Company, through its wholly owned subsidiary Arckaringa Energy Pty Ltd, holds a 49% interest in three exploration licenses covering 2,500 square kilometers.
