Andes Energia plc (Andes) is the oil and gas, electricity distribution and hydro-electric power company in Argentina with other exploration interests outside Argentina. Its principal assets are a 51% indirect interest in Empresa Distribuidora de Electricidad de Mendoza S.A. (EDEMSA), the electricity distribution company in the Province of Mendoza; an indirect controlling 47% interest in Hidroelectrica Ameghino S.A. (HASA), a 60 mega-watts hydroelectric power plant in the Province of Chubut and oil and gas interests in Argentina, which include seven exploration license blocks in the San Jorge basin; three exploration and development blocks in the Neuquen basin, and a 100% interest in Grecoil S.A. with one producing field with reserves and two development blocks with reserves. In March 2013, it announced the completion of the acquisition of Kilwer S.A. In April 2013, it acquired 100% interest of Ketsal S.A.
