Niger Uranium Limited is engaged in uranium mining opportunities, both as an active investor and a project developer. During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2009, the Company conducted exploration activities and made investments in uranium exploration and project development companies based in Namibia, Argentina and South Africa. It has eight uranium concessions in Niger, which include Irhazer, In Gall, Kamas 1 to 4 and Dabala 3 and 4. The total concession area is 6,773 hectares. The Company also holds a 14.06% interest in Kalahari Minerals plc. It has a 20.89% interest in UrAmerica plc. It acquired a 74% stake in Namakwa Uranium (Proprietary) Limited, which owns the Henkries Uranium Deposit in South Africa. The Company’s subsidiaries include Niger Uranium S.A., URU (Management) Limited, URU (Africa) Limited and Namaqua Uranium (Proprietary) Limited. In September 2008, the Company acquired interest in URU Henkries Limited. On April 21, 2008, it acquired 20.89% holding in UrAmerica plc.
