St. Modwen Properties plc acts as the holding company of a group of property investment and development companies. The Company operates in four areas: Brownfield land renewal, town centre regeneration, partnerships, and innovation and education. At November 30, 2008, a 44,000 square feet Innovation Centre and a 22,500 square feet grow-on facility were opened at Evolution Park, the Company's 14 acre Business and Industrial Park, situated on junction five of the M65 motorway. Developed in partnership with Blackburn with Darwen Borough council, the centre provides start-up enterprises with a range of tailored offices. As of November 30, 2008, St. Modwen's portfolio consisted of over 5,000 developable acres and 18 town centre schemes. During the fiscal year ended November 30, 2008, the Company disposed of its interest in Stoke on Trent Community Stadium Development Company Limited. On May 23, 2008, the Company acquired a 49% interest in Coed Darcy Limited.
