DS Smith plc is a holding company. The Company is engaged in the supply of corrugated and plastic packaging, and paper, from recycled waste, and the wholesaling of office products. Its activities of Packaging and Office Products Wholesaling are managed through a decentralized structure covering four segments. The UK Paper and Corrugated Packaging segment comprises three businesses: Severnside Recycling, which collects waste paper and other materials for recycling; St Regis, which processes the waste paper to produce recycled paper, and DS Smith Packaging, which converts corrugated case material into corrugated board and boxes. The Continental European Corrugated Packaging segment is engaged in heavy-duty industrial and litho-laminated packaging. The Plastic Packaging segment is focused on two sectors: liquid packaging and dispensing, and returnable transit packaging. The Office Products Wholesaling segment, through Spicers, supplies a range of own-label and branded office products.
