Compass Group PLC is a United Kingdom-based holding company. The Company is a provider of food and support services. The Company is engaged in the provision of contract foodservice and support services to clients in approximately 55 countries. The Company’s subsidiaries include Compass Group Canada Ltd, Bon Appetit Management Co, Compass Group USA Investments, Inc, Compass Group France Holdings SAS, Compass Group France, Compass Contract Services (UK) Ltd, Compass Group Holdings PLC and Compass Group (Australia) Pty Ltd. During the fiscal year ended September 30, 2008 (fiscal 2008), the Company acquired the remaining 50% interest in GR SA, its 50% owned Brazilian joint venture. In fiscal 2008, the Company also sold its share of Radhakrishna Hospitality Services Private Ltd and SHRM Food and Allied Services Private Ltd, its Indian joint ventures. In January 2009, the Company announced the acquisition of KIMCO Corporation.
