Bank of Georgia is a joint stock company. Its subsidiaries provide leasing, insurance, brokerage and asset and wealth management services to corporate and individual customers. It accepts deposits from the public and extends credit, transfers payments in Georgia and international, and exchanges currencies. As at December 31, 2008, the Bank had 151operating outlets in Georgia. It has seven segments: Retail Banking, which handles individual customers’ deposits, and provides consumer loans, overdrafts, credit card facilities and funds transfer facilities; Corporate Banking, which handles loans and other credit facilities and deposit and current accounts; Brokerage, which provides brokerage, custody and corporate finance services; Wealth Management, which offers wealth management services; Asset Management, which provides asset management services; Insurance, which provides wide-scale insurance services, and Corporate Centre, which provides back office services to all business segments.
