It has two segments: advanced woundcare, and wound closure and sealants. The woundcare business unit is engaged in research, development, manufacture and distribution polymers for use as wound dressings. The wound closure and sealants business unit is engaged in the research, development, manufacture and distribution of medical adhesives and products for closing and sealing tissue. The woundcare product range contains film, foam and silver alginate. Its wound closure and sealants contains products, such as LiquiBand, LiquiBand Flow Control, LiquiBand Surgical and LiquiBand Optima. In September 2009, the Company acquired the remaining 50.6% interest in Corpura B.V. from Recticel, its Joint Venture partner.
