The Company owns 544 funeral homes and operates 25 crematoria in United Kingdom. The Company’s operations are managed across three main areas: funeral services, crematoria and pre-arranged funeral plans. Funeral services represent 78% of the Company’s revenues and relate to the provision of funerals and ancillary items, such as memorials and floral tributes. During the fiscal year ended December 26, 2008 (fiscal 2008), the Company conducted 68,700 funerals. Crematoria represent 17% of the Company’s revenues and arise from cremation services, and the sale of memorials and burial plots at the Company’s crematoria and cemeteries. Pre-arranged funeral plans represent 5% of the Company’s revenues.
