C&C Group plc is engaged in the production, marketing and selling of cider, spirits and liqueurs. The Company is a manufacturer, marketer and distributor of beverages in Ireland and the United Kingdom. The Company manufactures the Irish cider brand, Bulmers, and the international cider brand, Magners, for export to the United Kingdom, the United States and Continental Europe. The Company operates in three business segments: cider, spirits and liqueurs, and distribution. The cider segment includes the Company’s cider products, with Bulmers in the Republic of Ireland and Magners in all other markets being the two main brands involved. The Company completed the disposal of its wine and spirit distribution business in the Republic of Ireland to a subsidiary of DCC plc in September 2008. On February 26, 2009, the Company disposed of its wine and spirit distribution business in Northern Ireland to Golf Holdings Ltd.
