Wavecom SA is a France-based company that develops, markets and sells wireless platforms that can be embedded into almost any machine or device, enabling it to transmit and receive both data and voice communications via wireless cellular network operators. Its wireless platforms are sold as wireless central processing units (CPUs), including both smart modems and modules, and integrate all of the necessary software and hardware on miniature circuit board platforms that can be used for a variety of applications. Wavecom also provides its customers with development tools and engineering support services to facilitate the design and operation of wireless products. The Company’s commercial product offering consists of three central elements: Open AT Software Suite; hardware families, including Wireless Microprocessor, Quik and Plug & Play, and Services (Professional and Operated).
