Conifex Timber Inc. (Conifex) is a softwood forest products company operating in the Northern Interior region of British Columbia. The Company�s primary business is the manufacture of structural-grade spray polyurethane foam (SPF) dimension lumber. The Company operates in two segments: Lumber and Bioenergy segment. The Company�s Lumber segment includes timber harvesting, reforestation, forest management, sawmilling logs in to lumber and wood chips and value-added lumber finishing. Conifex�s lumber products are sold in the United States, Chinese, Canadian and Japanese markets. The primary business of the Company�s bioenergy segment is the planned development of a bioenergy generation plant at Mackenzie, British Columbia. On December 31, 2011, the Company acquired 100% interests of Navcor Transportation Services Inc and Conifex Fibre Marketing Inc., a commodity lumber distribution business.
